An important point: evangelical politics are based on resentment, not on values that can be reasonably construed as "Christian."

I think this is what Bannon meant by embracing all that Trump stands for. There is now a decent chunk of voters that will only get behind unrepentant villains. You get automatic modern day street cred if democrats and a handful of republicans deem you unqualified or unelectable.

To underscore that note, Evangelical support after these allegations is even stronger
A JMC analytics poll found that 37 percent of evangelicals surveyed said the allegations make them more likely to vote for the GOP Senate candidate in the upcoming election.
Just 28 percent said the allegations made them less likely to vote for Moore and 34 percent said the allegations made no difference in their decision.

9/11 was almost 3,000.
Indian Ocean Tsunami in 04' took out 230,000.
Just some death tolls for reference. Seems morbid I know. Just nature damn. But we aren't helping with global warming.

It's also a infrastructure issue, readiness, essential services, basic communication. Japan got that shit on lock because they understood shit can go down but even Fukushima devastated the fuck outta them with 20,000 deaths and 2,500 missing as a result of the quake and tsunami.
By DY_nasty Go To Postnaw i'm reading up on past shit like this too and i'm just floored by how nature can fuck your whole shit up on a whimYeah, Americans are pretty lucky when it comes to earthquakes. The big centers of population where there are quakes have all their architecture designed with them in mind now and that helps to mitigate a ton of the damage that would happen if they didn't. I imagine most other countries have nothing close to it.

How come there isn't like a real life secret special forces service society that protects journalists worldwide and just fucks up a whole country's shit like Solid Snake in a MGS plot? There should be a gofundme or kickstarter or something for something like that.

I mean, it's Donald-speak, but this has been the GOP party line for ages.
"You don't really need X, what you really want is lower up front taxes...for the wealthiest members of society. Eventually, some of that money will reach you through _____, and it will be better than having X."

Senate: Now that we've got that out in the open, we're totally going to confirm him anyway, because qualifications and conflicts no longer matter.
Mr. Talley, who graduated from Harvard Law School in 2007 and is a deputy assistant attorney general at the Justice Department, is the fourth judicial nominee under Mr. Trump to receive a “not qualified” rating from the American Bar Association and the second to receive the rating unanimously. Since 1989, the group has unanimously rated only two other judicial nominees not qualified.

This is interesting. It seems like nationally the GOP realizes this can cause problems for them in 2018. Maybe not for Alabama, but indy's keep dropping GOP support due to Trumpism. If Alabama elects this man, the stink will permeate out and maybe affect other elections.
Right wing radio in LA was talking about the Moore thing. They obviously don't wants Dems winning, but the show was appealed the the responses from AL constituents and conservative leaders. "We would rather vote for a sexual predator than a democrat" actually caused them enough mental anguish that they had to critique the partisan nature of current politics within their party.
The eGOP wants nothing to do with Moore anyway ...
Curious how this plays out.
It's at least a small ray of sunshine that, like with Milo, most conservatives will draw the line at pedophilia.
Trump also unveiled his new pick for Health & Human Services today, after the previous guy stepped down amid controversy in September. This guy (Alex M. Azar II) is actually very well qualified for the post...but has spent the last 10 years as president of Eli Lily, on of the largest pharma companies in the world. He's supposed to be the face of Trump's effort to lower pharma drug prices:

I think this is a common quote we'll be hearing during this admin. Azar sounds like he might actually do a good job, but we'll see if Trump just relegates him to attacking Obamacare.

Mr. Azar’s nomination is likely to raise questions about Mr. Trump’s commitment to pressuring drug companies to lower prices in the United States. Last month, Mr. Trump accused drug companies of “getting away with murder” by charging more for their drugs in the United States than elsewhere in the world.
As president of one of the country’s leading pharmaceutical companies, Mr. Azar was a member of the board of directors at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, the leading industry association for biotech companies.
As the secretary of health and human services, Mr. Azar would be a key player in implementing Mr. Trump’s efforts to crack down on the prices that drug companies charge in the United States, making him responsible for going after the industry that he helped lead for a decade.
Representative Peter Welch, Democrat of Vermont, criticized Mr. Trump’s selection of Mr. Azar to lead the agency charged with overseeing drug companies.
“President Trump has railed against the pharmaceutical industry ‘getting away with murder’ on drug prices,” Mr. Welch said. “He promised the American people he would bring skyrocketing drug prices ‘way, way, way, down.’ But when given the chance to put his money where his mouth is, he brazenly nominated a former pharmaceutical executive to lead the agency charged with managing prescription drug costs. Instead of draining the swamp, he has set the fox to guard the henhouse.”
