Alabama is so messed up
We're normalizing 14 year olds now? Amazing how people go on record with this stuff.
The others mentioned in the WaPo article are sketchy, but the age of consent there is technically 16 so he's technically not a sex offender.
By KingGondo Go To PostDY…i mean, i can't tell if youre legit concerned or if you're not aware of how common that is
i mean shit, the us basically warns people about leaving the country entirely (unless you're brown. then gtfo)
SA and Iran are basically having their regional power tussle. Lebanon forever pissed at SA. What nation in that region wouldn't be. They basically just supply fuckery. Iran doesn't want to start any sort of real shit with Trump in office. In fact I'm routinely bothered we have Trump for this reason (among others obviously). But really we finally get on good solid ground with Iran and then we elect the biggest dipshit who surrounds himself with more dipshits.

Yeah, if you are against age inappropriate sexual advances, you are going straight to hell.

My god the Gymnastics....... also Republicans are officially the party of pedophiles and I doubt anyone is surprised
I'm just reading that Moore also refused to debate his opponent altogether?

And of course, the dems are sitting on their hands instead of attacking him at his low point, even after their recent victories:

By Zeus Ex Machina Go To PostI mean how long until the Alabama election?

By Randolph Freelander Go To PostDid he learn that from Trump or the other way around?
Amazing that five people bring CK down. One or two were enough to get the ball rolling on Weinstein. One was enough to get Spacey fired.
Meanwhile the President of the United States has been accused of sexual harassment by sixteen women and nothing.

Not enough
I don't know anymore why Dems should risk bad press and setting themselves up for failure and ruin all the positive momentum they have right now.
Alabama is lava anyway.
Alabama is lava anyway.
I've always semi-jokingly said that the Republican party would openly defend paedophiles and Nazis in furtherance of its cause. I never thought I'd see it within just 1 year of Tump's presidency. Incredible.

By Method Go To PostI love it. That is so awesome to see....Not trying to be mean but now I definitely want Michelle to run just cuz you think she easily wins.
Imo if Michelle Obama ran for president she wins easily
If Alabama elects this piece of shit, I will apologize to the state of Louisiana for calling them the worst state in the Union.
What's disturbing is that the line of defense/spin has turned into, "not a big deal" rather than "didn't happen"
This has to be a pre-emptive move against further allegations

By Random Ass Username Go To PostAlabama always been shittier. LA has New Orleans, what's Bama got? Birmingham?tbh my biggest piece of evidence has been David fucking Duke getting 40% of the vote for governor, but at least he actually lost.
Will be interesting to see how the talking points "if you think about it, the holy scriptures say pedophilia is okay" and "in actuality, women ain't shit and can't be trusted without 4 corroborating witnesses" goes over this week. Since we're not talking about Saudi Arabia or Pakistan this time.
By Randolph Freelander Go To PostOh my Godddd!
There was a lot of pedophilia, and rape, and chattle in the Bible. He's not wrong.
The economist:
Basically a non revenue neutral tax cut is fiscal stimulus. Government takes on debt but does it through direct tax credits instead of infrastructure or something along those lines.
Standard keynesian economics is to slow the deficit when times are good and break out the credit card when times are bad. Economicly, times are good now though. So breaking out the CC now could have negative effects. The article points out that in the future it would limit our ability to apply Keynesian economics in the event of a recession.
They didn’t touch on interest rates. I assume because the majority of the stimulus is targeted at a small portion of the population that’s just gonna hoard more wealth.
We don’t have a jobs issue. We have a wealth issue. People need to be paid more and wealth gap needs to decrease. Which this doesn’t do.
All that said: lol
This isn’t passing in its current form without effectively blowing up the legislative filibuster via changing reconciliation rules.
most important. The bill should be revenue-neutral. With the unemployment rate at just 4.1%, fiscal stimulus is not merely unjustified but irresponsible.
