slavery is still very real
I saw this earlier :(
Seth Abramson's tweet storm over Page's testimony is really something else. I think Page might be off his meds or something - he incriminates himself and the entire campaign multiple times for lying, his grasp of the fifth amendment seems to be taken from weekday cable reruns, he still doesn't have a lawyer - all with a smile on his face.
And echoing the internet casting, Jim Carrey must play him in a movie of these events.

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross has lied about being a billionaire for 13 years

Tone of this article is so weird, "he's just a regular hundred millionaire like the rest of us, get 'im!" especially considering that he's probably got millions stashed away offshore.

Depending on how badly I know the case is stacked against me, I wouldn't have a lawyer either. He's making the smart play by forcing those who go down with him to do something about it and pay for his lawyer; that plan just isn't working yet.

If Carter Page suffered from mental health issues (like manic depression) this investigation could of definitely been a catalyst to a full on episode. This testimony seems like an example of that
It is possible Trump learned about Binney and his analysis by watching Fox News, where Binney has been a frequent guest
Because of course Fox News.

We're a fundamentally stupid group of people.

So good. The credulous attitude which the US media has used with the "alt right" stands in stark contrast to this.

This is incredible, this part of the interrogation is straight out of a movie. A grown man just gets his lies taken apart. He literally gets caught perjuring himself 4 consecutive times in the span of 2 pages:

Between this and the "Actually America's air is too clean" EPA guy we've reached actual comic-book villainy in politics.
Like the South Park creators realized, what is satire when your subjects are already absurd?

People been letting assholes get away with shit. There comes a point where our complacency will do us in. That time might be now. We let the government just shit all over the constitution, be beholden to so many different moneyed interests and run all over the globe fucking with other country's democracies and resources for rich multinational corporations. All this shit is coming home to roost all at once and with the clowns people elected it will only get worse. We're talking probably bankruptcy. Wish I was being hyperbolic but nah.

I don't know if I can do the Times this year after watching the needle move slowly toward Trump last year. That was traumatic.

I’m pretty sure N VA tends to report last which is the dem stronghold...
So it’s gonna be a wild ride if you follow regardless of the outcome
By n8 dogg Go To PostHow big/important are these elections?
All elections are important. That's why I voted for neighborhood dogcatcher last week.
But VA is important nationally because it can impact redistricting after the 2020 census.

This is true for all the governors races no? Flipping NJ from GOP to Dem will also help this. Of course Kennedy might save us all so who knows.
VA is also being watched because everyone is curious what effects Trump has had on the electorate. Nobody has a clue who's going to show up to vote. A Dem win will be seen as a sign for things to come in 2018. A Dem loss isn't a death punch to the gut of Dems, but it will be touted as such.
The NJ vote is pretty much on lock so I guess NJ will have medical MJ and a higher minimum wage.
Main is voting to expand Obamacare's medicaid provision since their governor is garbage and hasn't done so himself. Also important.
Yeah, any governorship or state legislature is important. All eyes have been on Virginia, so my thoughts immediately went to that.
By Fenderputty Go To PostIf I didn't loathe OK Dems I'd be happier.
Gondo… some reason to smile man
I mean, it's good. But I'm convinced that nothing will really change until the party fundamentally shifts or realigns. Everything else is reaction to whichever national politician happens to be unpopular at the moment.
Gillespie leads by 2.7 percentage points over Ralph Northam with 5 percent of precincts fully reporting.
The night starts lol
By Smokey Go To Postnortham looks to be behind as of now?
Nobody reporting yet. Only 5% of precincts in. Shits gonna be up and down all night depending on the precinct reporting.
