By HasphatsAnts Go To PostRight now Bernie Sanders is the prohibitive favorite for 2020. I think itโs time for Dems to accept it. Lots can change between now and then but very little stands in his way.
Joe Biden does not stand up to scrutiny and he will be raked through the coals during the primaries.
Bernie stands up to scrutiny?
The socialism boogeyman is still looming large. You think he's going to be able to blow up decades of anti-socialism messaging in one campaign?
By sans_pants Go To PostBernie stands up to scrutiny? It only has power when the Dems act like socialist policies are something to be ashamed of.

Part of Bernie's appeal is that he's unapologetic about his views.

The dem primary is not the general electorate
As long as Republican politicians are frightened by the base, the base is frightened by scary conspiracies in right-wing media, and right-wing media makes more money the more frightened everyone is, Trump appears to be safe. As long as the incentives are aligned in that direction, there will be no substantial movement to censure, restrain, or remove him from office.

Clearly corporations needs cuts
I'm actually not at all opposed to tax cuts on corporations. Pair them with treating dividends and capital gains as ordinary income, and you can burn corporate taxes very nearly to the ground.
I'd just like someone in the GOP to go through the steps of exactly how reducing the corporate tax rate is going to cause those same corporations to hire more employees.
Note that hiring could certainly happen... eventually... but I would like to see what steps the GOP thinks would happen.
By FreezePeach Go To PostYou know it would make sense for Donald to hate Jared, if you know what i mean.not sure if racism or envy is what you're getting at
either works tbh

Why is Carter Page out here volunteering these details on TV and to congress? Does he think it'll stop him from being prosecuted?

Dude doesn't have a lawyer right now - he's kinda doomed from the get go.
Not having someone to tell you what is and isn't ok to say makes a world of difference.

Having no lawyers is better than having Trump's lawyers, though.

Really boggles the mind how he thinks this is a good idea.
Republicans are afraid of his base. The more he convinces his base this is a hit job the harder it is for republicans in congress to act on any actual findings
Completely off topic but.. watching Don Lemon, donโt know who this smarmy guy with the bow tie is, but I want to punch him through the TV already.
Edit: Disregard, heโs one of the good guys - his outfit choice still bothers me.

Secretary of Energy Rick Perry said Thursday that fossil fuels can help prevent sexual assault by keeping the lights on, according to The Hill.
During an event with Axios and NBC in Washington, D.C., Perry brought up sexual assault after launching into a story about a trip to Africa, where he said "people are dying" because they don't have access to energy.
"And it's going to take fossil fuels to push power out into those villages in Africa, where a young girl said to my face, 'One of the reasons that electricity is so important to me is not only because I'm not going to have to try and read by the light of a fire and have those fumes literally kill people," Perry said.
He continued: "But also from the standpoint of sexual assault. When the lights are on, when you have light that shines, the righteousness, if you will, on those types of acts."

That's Australia's ABC, by the way. I don't think America's ABC has it in them.
Whoever writes the chyrons for CNN or MSNBC would totally do it, though.
