By Smokey Go To PostEVGA is showing of a 2200w platinum PSU…Hope it’s encrusted in platinum given the price it’ll be.

No. I am just not insane. Any time I have to type anything numbers related without numpad, I want to die. Didn't even get used to it, when I only had a laptop for 7 months. It fucking sucks

anyone wanting to become a billionaire by mining bitcoins, dogecoins and titcoins my friend. #futureinvestment
By reilo Go To PostWho the fuck needs 2200wDon't lie to us reilo. You know you want as much power as possible.
I can't imagine needing 2200 watts and not having it in a rack. If it's in a rack... it's not going to be EVGA.
one of the best looking motherboards but $299 for a not special feature set from a manufacturer that isn't trusted yet is .. ehh.
ASUS are going all out on RGB. Hopefully this is the year this trend peaks and then slowly fucks off forever. I don't mind RGB per se, accent lighting can looks very good, if used tastefully. Nobody needs a disco tho. Having said that, who's buying the ROG spotlight?

So Corsair's wireless ecosystem overall is cheaper than Logitech's, but it looks to be a "you get what you pay for" . Their keyboard only lasts 15 hours with the, (from what I can tell) blue color only backlight. 75 hours if you don't use it. The G613 is rated to last 18 months. Their Qi charge mouse mat only lets you charge their mouse in a singular spot in the upper right hand corner. Logitech's PowerPlay mat lets you charge it anywhere, and while you're using it. The Dark Core RGB wireless mouse doesn't look nearly as nice as the G900/903 IMO.
The advantage Corsair does have is if you use all of this with the wireless lapdog. If you don't need a full keyboard and like Cherry switched, K63 might be a good option.

New Dark Rock from BeQuiet. Wish they had released it alongside the Pro version when I was putting my new PC together. It's a great cooler coupled with Silent Wings fans, but the mounting system wasn't exactly what you'd call award-winning. Looks like they addressed it in the new revision.
It does look interesting, but I don't know. Feels ... too busy. It also strikes me as a design that won't age well at all.
I do like what what Origin are doing with their cases. Haven't really paid attention to them in the past.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2018-does-patching-cpu-security-flaws-impact-gaming-performance
Both of these updates have the potential to slow your PC down, but the good news here is that the overall impact measured so far in many benchmarks is in the two to three per cent range, with only storage IO on very fast devices (like NVMe solid state drives) showing noticeable performance degradation. It's a different ballgame in the enterprise sector, with CPU virtualisation clearly being affected significantly - as seen on Epic's Fortnight servers.
Went on PC Part Picker see 1070 is going for $799
didn't this shit launch at 500 or less
Guess I'll be playing cyberpunk at 15fps on ps4

Wut
Last time I checked, which was a couple of days ago for a buddy, graphics cards prices seemed fairly reasonable to me, considering.
On Mindfactory.de the 1070 can be had for 490-550€, the 1080 goes for 550-600€. I paid 530€ for my fairly basic 1080 (MSI Armor) in March 2017, which was just before the Etherium craze hit.
The really shocking thing about all this is that it's already been almost a year since I put together my not-so-new-anymore PC. Fucking hell, how.

It's not exactly PC Hardware but the Utah "Utopia" network is now offering 10Gb speeds to homes, insanity.

The MSI Optix MPG27C and MPG27CQ are the first gaming displays to utilize SteelSeries' GameSense technology, which allows you to fully customize the five RGB panels on each monitor's front bezel. According to MSI, these zones can be programmed using the SteelSeries Engine software to do things such as react to in-game timers or cooldowns or alert you to your Discord chat notifications. There are also customizable RGB lights along the display's rear panel, should you want some extra glow while gaming in the dark.I'm intrigued by RGB for the first time
For a guy who will only use their SSD as an OS drive and has Office, would a 275 GB SSD be enough? My computer has been struggling for months and I can't update programs with my 64 GB SSD. I think I asked this back in August and you guys said it should be fine.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Post500 gb minimum
By FortuneFaded Go To PostMy 250 one has been fine for me. Almost all the steam games are on my 2tb standard hard drive.I ask because there has been a bit of a price drop on Crucial SSDs.
Crucial - MX300 275GB is $89.99
Crucial - MX300 525GB is $139.99
The 525 has a better dollar per GB ratio and is the better buy. I plan to get a WB Black 4-8 TB HDD for my new machine down the line, so basically the SSD is only for OS and stuff that hard installs on the OS drive (Office/graphics stuff). Currently looking for a free clone program and a USB to SSD cable now.
275 is fine for OS and basic programs.
Get the MX500, it's a better drive and its $10 cheaper. The 250GB version doesnt show up on pcpartpicker, it's too new.

Crucial - MX500 250GB $79.99 on Amazon
EDIT: basically I'm trying to see if I should just get the 500GB version for $139. My future computer build is going to be more gaming oriented, so I can't say I would NEVER install a game to that drive. Also I gotta figure out what to do with the 64 GB one I have now.

ces was lame this year, even more gimmicky than usual somehow
only thing i'm undecided on is that nzxt motherboard, it could look cool with the right colour combos, but it's a mobo so who really cares lol

95% of new cases are tempered glass all over.
By Smokey Go To PostEVGA is showing of a 2200w platinum PSU…You also need 220v to power it, a standard 110v outlet won't work (this is for the US).
