By Zabojnik Go To PostHow are you liking that wrist rest on the 810, Smokey?
just ordered one, smh
surprised it didn't come with one.
Corsair's peripherals have always been a bit shoddy one way or another, IMO. Even though the build quality on the M65 was insane, it had a shit sensor and really shitty RMB/LMB switches.
Next deck I get is going to be MX Speeds or Topre. The Topre RGB with cherry stems is the business.
That's what prevents me from moving away from cherry boards, being able to swap out my own keycaps is so huge. The difference between ABS and thick af PBT keycaps makes it feel like a completely different product.

I've really been thinking about selling my TV. It's a nice, fairly big Samsung that I mostly used for consoles and Netflix but at this point I just wind up watching Netflix on my computer desk on my two monitors anyways just because I'm already there.
I use too standard ASUS monitors but I'm thinking if I sell the TV I'd throw in some more money and get a gaming 120hz monitor and a off-monitor thats got better picture quality for netflix and browsing. Just not sure which to go with and if OLED stuff is even a possibility. Just the idea of doing any entertainment outside of my desk doesn't work for me anymore

Yeah I moved away from my M65 quickly. I've never got that deep into it where I'm swapping out key caps or customizing my KB like that, but I can see the appeal. These Romer's feel pretty nice. They must have changed something because they didn't feel good at all in the G910.
Wish the G810 had USB pass through, but other than that, it's solid.

If you are wanting to use it for gaming, you will want to find ones with the least resistance possible and a shorter travel. The defaults for them feel a little stiffer than what you would think from the listed required actuation force.

I agree with Smokey about the lighting on the 810. Looks clean as fuck. I'm not a big fan of how it looks on my K70, it's all over the place. I might get a Logitech mechanical keyboard myself to complete that G900 / G933 / ??? trifecta.
It's just so happens that my K70 seems to have developed some serious key chatter over the past month. I'm waiting to test it on the new build to make sure it wasn't something software related, but I doubt it. Still 2 months left on the warranty, so I might send it in and then flip it.
Which wrist rest did you get, Smokey?

Terrible name aside it has good reviews and was linked to the 810.
And yeah... the RGB implementation here is miles ahead of the K65 RGB. You're probably talking about the same light bleed I was noting. It seems "messy" in comparison to the 810.
E: Looks like I may have gotten one of the last full size version, that link goes to the Compact version.
sigh.. I need to stop doing this.. ordered 3 for OLED 4k Surround.. biggrin.gif
what's your delivery dates? Mine says 04/18… ugh..
What is the 3 he's referring to?

Did I mention he has Quad-SLI with Titan Xp (2017)
Total - $13,800
And another quote
No, the rig w/ 4x Titan Xp will have the Dell 8K monitor. This setup is for the 2nd rig w/ 4x 1080 Ti.
There's levels to this game yall
This guy does a really good job of explaining how to get the most out of gsync . Clarified some things for me, namely the use of frame rate limiters in games (use them)
Looking at his channel he also has a bunch of other net code and timing type videos.
Also came across this useful pic on OCN

I'm happy with my Cherry Reds + PBT caps for gaming, I've grown too used to it for muscle memory.

And yeah, I have a bit of experience with the Topres, and despite the low actuation, I think the interaction with the rubber dome changes how it feels in terms of force. Cherry Reds feel like the 32g Topres almost.
Longshot question but --
Is anybody using the Edge browser? After the latest W10 update, I've been using it, especially since I've been having crashes in Chrome. No crashes in Edge. But my thing is...Edge colors seem...bolder and the fonts seem to pop more.

Colors are the same. The dark window border may be affecting you there. It uses some additional font smoothing, iirc, to make things easier to read.
I've got both browsers up in split screen on my monitor, displaying this same SLAENT page. Both at 100%. Edge's fonts are smaller, while Chrome's are larger and seem 'bolder' for lack of a better phrase. You may be on to something about the dark border. It's effecting my eyes in a way that it seems that the Edge browser has more overall 'pop' to it.
Are you by chance using DPI scaling? 1703 has some enhancements to scaling that is enabled on UWP apps like Edge.
No, everything is on default.
I rolled back anyway. The Creators Update was causing game performance to be shit. I was getting wild fluctuations in GPU usage and weird performance. Even rolled back on the Nvidia side. Eventually rolled back to previous build of W10 and everything looks and feels as it should. First time I've ever had an issue with a Windows update.

Edge is great, but it's really spec dependent. Even on my work laptop, which is a XPS 15 w/ 7700HQ it's super choppy and laggy, especially during loading.
By zfzmikey Go To PostAnd I hear you man. My work monitor is an LG Ultrawide IPS, the glow is real.I guess I'm lucky in that either my IPS monitors don't have a significant glow or I just don't notice it. I am still using this old-ass DoubleSight 263N and a pair of Dell 2007FP (that I got for free from a previous job about to throw them out).
Kado, have you looked at this for storage solution? Probably too expensive but the performance is great: http://www.anandtech.com/show/11209/intel-optane-ssd-dc-p4800x-review-a-deep-dive-into-3d-xpoint-enterprise-performance
Man that performance jump should be noticeable if i do 4k workflow, but sub 500gb capacity is way too low for needs. Need at least 3tb. I think the next jump for me is SSD Raid 0.
My bottleneck surprisingly is still CPU!

Whats the cheapest desktop I can buy that will play everything for the next 5 or so years? I dont really care about max settings just that the games are playable.
By Smokey Go To PostWrist rest in and lines up great with 810. Feels complete! No downgrade feels going from a brushed metal case to a plastic one?
I love the subdued lighting, but overall I'm not yet fully onboard with the 810. Definitely the one I like the most from Logitech's offering tho.
IMO, the brushed finish on the Corsair keyboards look way better in pictures than it does in person. Feels cheap.

Not to me. I didn't even notice until you just mentioned it tbh. 810 feels real solid to me. The wrist rest makes compliments it well. Feels great to type on now.

Honestly, I don't think I'll be completely happy with a keyboard until a G900 of mechanical keyboards comes around. I really fucking hate wires, on keyboards more so than on mice, and especially the goddamn rope coming out of the K70. You could legit climb a mountain with that thing.
I don't know what the hold up is on a wireless mech keyboard
I know there are some out but...They seem..

By Smokey Go To PostI don't know what the hold up is on a wireless mech keyboardI've honestly been tempted to take one of my existing mechanical keyboards and see if I can convert it to wireless, somehow. I think there is a lot of open space in the cases of the Kinesis Advantage keyboards I own to store a transmitter and battery.

Hooked the trust Dell U3011 up for some use. First off 30'' is huge. Second I could definitely see 4k being of use at this size. I think it would be perfect actually. Third -- It is HARD to go back to a non GSYNC display after using one for so long. I've tried using Fast Sync and other sync options but it don't matter. Tearing is still there. Mad distracting.
is there a chance your monitor is set to 59hz? Try adaptive vsync?
You can still have tearing at locked 60 but i believe it should always be in the same spot, is that what it looks like?

Monitor set to 60hz I checked that. It was a locked 60 too.
I didn't try adaptive vsync I'll try again at half time of rox game and see how it looks
