New England Patriots v. Atlanta Falcons
Steelers are the only thing stopping New England in the AFC. Packers and Cowboys maybe have a chance in the Super Bowl.

Chiefs and Steelers only AFC playoff teams besides the Pats with an actual QB, and in the former's case, just barely.
By Trey Go To PostIt's that time of year again, folks. the "pray the Patriots don't come out of the AFC" season.
I don't like repetitive prayers, especially now that Brady is on a mission.
i am not ashamed enough to not be glad Gronk is hurt but it does not seem to matter
Good playoff lineup. All the games look interesting, unlike the regular season.

Unlike last year could not findo ways to win the close games.
By Kuma Go To PostThat Oakland vs Houston game look so struggle.
Both teams struggling is why it will be good.

Someone ban this guy. Alex Smith slander is a no-no.

Bills fucking scummy as Hell.
Texans not gonna blow them out. They'll get 17 at most. Raiders might not score at all.
Thinking hard of slapping $100-$150 on the under

Like, there's almost never a time that an NFL player couldn't elect for surgery if he wanted to lol, but Tyrod to my knowledge has been the first to try to pull this
Its probably his last big contract so I get the shamelessness
Brb going to bills sb nation

I hope he fails, gets paid and then if they don't cut him, initially stinks the joint out and then laughs all the way into the sun.
Hopefully he gets paid, cut and then lands somewhere where he'll succeed though. Jets, AZ, even Denver could be nice for him.

Recovery time from sports hernia won't even put him close to the march 11 deadline.
I don't blame the Bills - his production isn't worth 30 million a year. They gambled that he would, he gambled that he would but it didn't happen.

Bills played themselves by signing that backloaded "prove it" contract in the first place. It's arguable whether he proved he was a franchise QB, but it's inarguable that the Bills will not have a better qb on the roster next season.

Oh i think that's indisputable yeah. But I think the Bills are making the best of a dumb decision (that contract) at this point by not throwing more money to have what they feel will be just a "capable" qb. Not sure if Tyrod will develop further, but someone is going to get a pretty ok starter at least next year.
really interesting article on draft logic

Top NFL franchises appear to be particularly enamored with the three-cone: 10 of the drill’s top 12 defensive players over the past four years began their careers with current playoff teams, as did eight of the top 12 for all positions. A strong showing in the broad jump has proved capable of instantly propelling a prospect’s stock: Cowboys safety Byron Jones was not considered a guaranteed high pick due to an injury-shortened final college season, but after setting the world record by jumping 12 feet, three inches in 2015, he become one of that draft’s most-hyped prospects and an eventual first-round selection. The vertical jump also has its loyalists: Eight players have jumped 42 inches or higher over the past four years, and seven of them wound up drafted by current playoff teams. Chiefs receiver Chris Conley, a 2015 third-round pick, is tied for the drill’s top mark in the past decade, at 45 inches. There’s plenty of overlap between the top broad and vertical jump performers, including numerous potential playoff stars on the defensive side: Atlanta’s Vic Beasley, Oakland’s Khalil Mack, and Pittsburgh’s Bud Dupree and Ryan Shazier all excelled in those drills. The short-shuttle stars, meanwhile, have turned into some of the league’s standout wide receivers and defensive backs: New York’s Odell Beckham Jr., Miami’s Bobby McCain, and Houston’s and Atlanta’s good-but-currently-hurt Kevin Johnson and Desmond Trufant.
By Trey Go To Postalex smith is a bum dude, lol. Even when he balls out, he loses.
He was garbage in SF. What folks expect?
By domino Go To Postreally interesting article on draft logicWow that's... amazing. It files in the face if 40 times, which gets repeated ad nausem. Again, straight-line speed is so overrated in this league. Mice Wallace, Will Fuller are some of the fastest guys on the league but can't run a route tree/have shiftiness. Tyreek Hill is exploding because he has speed, quickness and elusiveness.

It's amazing how bad Brock is right now. He's nothing like the QB he was at Denver and it's not like he was amazing there.
WRs can rip at defenders facemasks while going for the ball now?
Happened near the end of the Texans game and went in the offenses favor and Richardson just did it while making that incredible catch.

Eli literally threw back to back touchdowns and the receivers dropped them. Then on 3rd down they ran a WR bunch play that the receiver dropped again.
Like WTF.
Like WTF.
If DRC doesn't come back the Giants are in trouble. Trevin Wade is an aggressively bad corner, he can't cover.
