By knux-future Go To PostThis draft is currently 10-12 players deep…so tanking for "just" the 8th pick is fine this year.
Although it seems like it will be guard and wing heavy with the only center being a red flag god (and the kid from Arizona…could make a nice pairing with Kristaps).
You're right and the knicks need better youth at Guard and Wing. Even more reason to try and get into the top 10.
I just hope Phil doesn't make a stupid trade for Milsap (for a shit ton of future picks) or some other older player to appease the realgm idiots.

This man gets it. And whether its intentional of the result of organizational mismanagement and dysfunction I'm just gonna Trust the Process™ and hope we strike gold .
By reilo Go To PostY'all still wanna trust Phil to blow it up and not try to make win-now moves? Alright.Yeah I'm done with Phil. I'm just hoping he remains incompetent enough for us to get some lottery picks in spite of his efforts to win now.
plus hanging on to something that hasn't worked for pride purposes only hurts yourself in the long run. A tankathon perhaps makes Melo allow himself to be traded
By knux-future Go To Postplus hanging on to something that hasn't worked for pride purposes only hurts yourself in the long run. A tankathon perhaps makes Melo allow himself to be tradedNaw Melo just wants to get paid and live in the city.
By reilo Go To PostY'all still wanna trust Phil to blow it up and not try to make win-now moves? Alright.Phil trusted in himself / his scouts enough to draft KP.
Maybe that was lightning in a bottle, but Phil has made FA signings that are win now. But he hasn't been mortgaging their future.
Which.. for the Knicks is a massive step forward.
By giririsss Go To PostYou can stop pretending that Ross is Shit.
For starters, he'll go MIA in the post season. Again. For the 4th? time.
And will that cause him to hide in the regular season again?
You rarely see a guy that is just so damn shook by the post-season.
Let's take it easy with that ain't-shit talk now. Last time the Phoenix Suns made the playoffs Ross wasn't even drafted yet. In that time he's had more playoff appearances than the Suns in the past decade.
Also won a dunk contest by nearly decapitating a small child:
Went on a voyage of self discovery through both headband and non-headband phases:
Learned how to bounce back from adversity:
And heroically survived surgeries both to remove bone spurs from his ankle, and to detach himself from Amber Rose:
I think to really appreciate Ross' career you need to look at the full picture.
By masud Go To PostIt most certainly is. Whats to be gained from the Knicks winning as many of those 50 games as they can? Getting to watch a couple playoff games (maybe) isnt worth the drop in the draft. There will be no building of a winning culture because the rosters gonna get turned over at least once in the next 1-2 years. Sure winning would be good experience for KP but playing with jackasses like Melo and Rose is bad experience whether the Knicks get to lose in the first round our not. No when the ashes of the Melo era clear in a few years I want KP surrounded by as much youth and potential as possible. Thats our best shot (given we draft well and dont trade it all away).
So I'm rooting for the Knicks to lose. I don't expect them to intentionally tank but I'm hoping they fail.
This is way less fun if you're just going to go ahead and be reasonable about it.

I'm not gonna lie. I don't think I know any facts about any current Suns players except that Booker is a 15 year old boy and should not be losing his virginity to prostitutes.
By masud Go To PostNaw Melo just wants to get paid and live in the city.
Hey, someone gets it!
Dude is content with his Olympic gold and cash stacks.

I can't blame him for this, would be great.

I believe PJ Tucker is an ex Raptor.
Tyson Chandler, Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight aren't exaclty new guys. Nor is Jared Dudley or Leandro "The Brazillian Blur" Barbosa.
The young guys are very under the radar though. TJ Warren, Booker, Chriss, Bender.
By giririsss Go To PostPhil trusted in himself / his scouts enough to draft KP.Pretty sure he didn't want KP tho... I might be wrong but didn't his scouts have to beg him to draft KP?

Pretty sure everyone wanted KP but everyone also thought he was too far away from making an impact. Lakers fall into this camp.
Could you imagine if Jah's issues aren't just because we are a garbage fire and he fell to New York, and stunk it up?
lawd

The Wolves just kinda go 'hey 1v1 me scrub" all day as their offense, eh?
y u do dis?
although not gonna lie I was super on team Mudiay soooooo wtf do I know

Jazz are 18-4 with one or less of their projected starters missing the game. Ugh

The only part of the #Process I didn't agree with was the abandoning of all players that could help the young guys get acclimated and improve quicker.
By Kibner Go To PostThe only part of the #Process I didn't agree with was the abandoning of all players that could help the young guys get acclimated and improve quicker.the main issue was constantly doubling down on it and not putting anyone in position to succeed. Hinkie simply tanked too hard and for too long (and too obviously). But there are glimpses of the idea behind it. Today, Noel and Embiid played together at the same damn time and shit was hype. The problem is that so much of the payoff was delayed (TBF due to injuries but still).
tanking is fine but Hinkie went too hard.

By blackace Go To Posthow many years and how many centers is ok?this too lol.
the Okafor pick was bad even without Jah's actual flaws. But hey I wanted Mudiay once Russell was off the board....so yeah wrong either way it seems
