Unless we super tank and don't win another game this season, we're not going to finish bottom 2-3. We need to do that in order to even have a reasonable shot at keeping our pick (top 3 protected).
Luke ain't purposefully tanking his first season as head coach anyway. So a successful tank would mean our rookies and team aren't improving as well.

Defense is still suspect like most of the squad sans Larry Nance (usually), his overall game has picked up a bit since his return from injury. He's averaging 17 5 & 5 and has cut his TOs by more than half.
Randle is a better player than Smart who has been the same guy for 3 seasons now and has yet to have an overall season FG% of 38 or higher.
Smart better. Better passer. Better Defender. Better win shares. Better plus/minus. Randle don't do nothing.

Smart has a WS of 1.2, Randle 2.1. Now I may not be an expert on which number is bigger than the other, but I think Randle is ahead here. Rather impressive since LA is 13 games under .500 and The Celtics are 9 games over .500
Smart is a better defender for sure, but that's it. Randle has steadily made improvements almost across the board while Smart has settled into being the same bench player he was when he was drafted.
Russell has not made the improvements Randle has (even his mid range and right hand has gotten better), but he has improved. Getting to the rim as an example. It didn't look like he could even get a layup at times last year. He's just so damn inconsistent. He'll have two or three games where he mostly does everything right and then two games where he does almost nothing right. At least he's bringing those TO's down.
The only thing Smart does better than Randle is suck at basketball.
Russell is so up and down, his FG% worries me. He takes really shitty shots way too often. He almost never goes to the post anymore, which is where he is really dangerous. I want to believe because I've seen the flashes, but I don't know.
