By DY_nasty Go To Postno way in hell they'd get nurkic
They can't play Jokic and Nurkic together. Jokic has the higher ceiling. That's who they should keep.

I doubt it'd be a two team trade.

By domino Go To Posti think portlands defense is worse than oursflip a coin
So what does Atl and Dwight do if the Hawks blow this up? That I don't get. They planend around Schroeder and that didn't go as well as hoped.
By Kabro Go To PostPortland's defense is a sight to beholdYoung Lakers bout to put up 120 in Portland? I know Reilo feels that shit in his chest.

Boy, look at those lineups.

By vic Go To PostWhy ATL is suddenly blowing it up?Cause there's no point. Better to be ahead of the game than the Toronto Raptors.
Warriors are now 1st in Ortg... and 1st in Drtg. Sheesh. Their DRtg is essentially the same as last year.

I'm sorry hasphat.

This was my thinking. Nurkic & Harris would be p. good for Atlanta.
Of course Denver is going to try to move Faried but no one is taking him without getting some unprotected picks or something else good.
By DY_nasty Go To PostRoss/Poetl or whatever might be the best ATL can hope for
I think they're trying to swing a multi team deal. I'm holding out hope for a 2017 pick.
By reilo Go To PostRumored NOP's offer for Millsap:
How desperate must they think Atlanta are?
By pilonv1 Go To PostHow desperate must they think Atlanta are? They just traded Korver for Dunleavy.

The rumour was Ross/Patterson, who is Millsap light. Giving up Poeltl for a 32 year old with 3 months left on his contract would be insane for a bunch of reasons. Ujiri occasionally does misguided, but not insane. The only way I can see it is if they took Carroll back, that's the only thing Toronto has approaching a bad contract.
By reilo Go To PostThey just traded Korver for Dunleavy.
Good point
By reilo Go To PostThey just traded Korver for Dunleavy. It's still an underwhelming return. I think they'd consider it if it was unrpotected, though.
But with NOP .... that could be a top 10 pick.

Nurkic is never gonna happen.

By "Toronto Raptors" you mean "currently projected to have a better record than any Knicks team in history"?
By livefromkyoto Go To PostBy "Toronto Raptors" you mean "currently projected to have a better record than any Knicks team in history"?Erm? Knicks have a couple of 60-win seasons and Raptors are on pace for 56 wins.

The Knicks have exactly two seasons in their history in which they've won exactly 60 games on the nose, never more.

Toronto's remaining schedule is a cakewalk. Aside from 1 more game left against SA/HOU/CLE each, they're done with elite teams for the year. They only have 17 games left against teams over .500, which includes a bunch of teams that are barely over: 3 vs. IND, 2 vs. MIL, and ATL who seem to be packing it in.
Given the way they've been chewing up non-elite teams all year, they'd have to slip & fall hard not to make it. 61 wins is only 5 games better than last year - and they've got 4 more wins and 4 fewer losses than they did at this time last year.
Boy, someone saw their team break 50-wins for the first time and all the sudden they think 60-wins is the cakewalk next step.

I think they're running a historic ORtg and are 25-3 against teams that aren't CLE/GSW/SA/SAC. It doesn't take burgeoning confidence to think they can improve by 5 wins with a soft schedule for the last 3 months.
