If we win both the games versus the Mavs that we should have won ... we're tied for the 8th spot. The bottom half of the west is a hot mess.we could go 5/5 over the next ten and it would be believable too

but yeah, nobody is out of the running for that 8 seed yet

Were they cheering for Hayward because they want him to replace Crowder next season or just cause he's white?

The funny thing is saying he would like to go back to Dallas. Bro, you were replaced by Harrison Barnes! At least Hayward makes sense.
This must have been during the Seattle days? When did George last have hair?
Also, this book has been a surprise Christmas gift for Kings PR.

And this is why so many people hate George Karl. He is the definition of a talk shit apologize dude and you know he doesn't even mean his apology.

I wonder if he knows you could delete words and whole sentences in print?
Thibs is now saying this is a developmental year to cover for the part where he's a worse coach than Sam Mitchell.
He's playing his starters 40 minutes a night. He wants to win games, he just sucks. Whatever.

Knicks trying to get PJ Tucker. He would actually help them win games so I don't like this move one bit.
By reilo Go To PostWe talked about Gordon's chances at making the ASG and I didn't list Aldridge despite his improved play as of late. His season numbers are his worst since his rookie year.Yeah, on numbers he isn't there, but the Spurs have a better record than the Cavs and Raptors at the moment. Warriors have 4 viable candidates, the Cavs 3 and the Raps 2. Understand if he doesn't get in, but it seems weird for a team that wins that much to only have one.
By etiolation Go To PostYou likely have 3 Warriors make the all-star game. If Draymond isn't one of them then that helps LMA's chances. Cousins and Gasol look like locks right now and it'll be hard to keep Davis out.I don't think Thompson should get in ahead of any of the guards I listed (though what I think doesn't really matter).
Are they still doing the 3 forwards thing?
And yeah, it's just frontcourt / backcourt. No distinction between forwards and centres.

Wiggins is averaging 22 PPG but somehow only has a PER of 15.4.
That's just fucking legendary. It's usually impossible to be a volume scorer with a PER that low.

02-03 Jalen Rose, 22.1 PPG with 14.9 PER
By reilo Go To PostThe worst was Pistol Pete in 1979: 22.6PPG, 13.4PER, 47.8TS%If you lower it to 15.5 PER, there is only 8 in history with only 2 in like the last 30 years.
By IWMTB19 Go To PostWiggins is averaging 22 PPG but somehow only has a PER of 15.4.He doesn't do anything when not scoring. His 3 point shooting fell back to normal. His free throw rate is also down, since Thibs just fucking loves using him as a ball handler. He is objectively being used worse than last year.

I heard somebody compare Wiggins to Kevin Martin in the sense that he literally only scores the ball. I got mad because I had no rebuttal.
By etiolation Go To PostHow did Drazen have such a low PER with those percentages? goddamn.USG%, RPG and BPG have a huge impact on PER. He had a 60.7TS% but only a 17PER because his USG% was super low. Hollinger's formula assumes that you are a better player if your USG% is high.

By Dark PhaZe Go To Posthow is his defense latelyHe's worse than LaVine. Straight up. With Zach, I at least always get the sense that he's trying really fucking hard, even if he doesn't often know what he's doing. He wants to put himself in the spot to do the right thing.
While I'm here and on the subject, I honestly find Wiggins to be a really depressing player.
It's year three and there's been little tangible improvement. He's marginally more efficient, but his handle still sucks, his defense still sucks, he still can't shoot (month long hot streak aside) and his decision making is as bad as ever. The problem with tasking him to be a ball handler isn't only that his handle isn't good, but it's that the choices he make are lousy. The "Point Wiggins" set as it's become derisively known, almost always ends with an 18 foot jump shot and it makes me want to scream.
When it comes down to it, I don't want to be the dude giving Wiggins the $125M contract. I don't know what he does besides volume score and I don't know how you fix that when he doesn't want to put in the effort.
Between Dunn, Rubio, and LaVine as a break in case of emergency PG, why is Wiggins handling the ball?
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostBetween Dunn, Rubio, and LaVine as a break in case of emergency PG, why is Wiggins handling the ball?If you are to believe Thibs, it's in the name of "development." He wants Wiggins to be this creator from the perimeter, which is just not his game. He doesn't have the handle, doesn't have the court vision and doesn't tend to make good decisions. For a guy to handle the ball as much as he does and only get 2 assists a game is wild.
I've just really soured on him. He's played 7,100 NBA minutes and is still the same dude he was as a rookie. For all his talk about wanting to do more, where's the improvement? He basically gets as many rebounds as Rubio. His defense is worse than ever. (I don't even know how that's possible. He played on that 15 win team.) I've come to the idea that it would perhaps be best to move on from him while people around the league still think he's going to be a superstar. None of the "do shit," none of the hustle is there and there's no reason to think it ever will be.
