Miss Universe costumes were pretty good. USA and UK went the super hero route...
Myanmar won best costume with this puppet deal.
Haiti, Colombia and France were the final three.
France is the new Miss Universe.
All three of the finalists did well with the Q&A portion but Kenya got fucked with a Trump question. She was the favorite up to that point.

Reporting on Sterling is just flat out racist. Don't see them do articles like this on John Stones. Fair play to him laughing at them though.
The stuff about the house he bought his mum was the most desperate witch-hunt I've ever seen. Absolutely crazy that Hodgson basically got away with it while Sterling had shit like that thrown at him.
I dunno about you guys and King Flabberson but I think our away shirt is pretty damn hot
a bunch of leds
and Kane has the best minutes per goal return (one goal every 111.5 minutes) this season
which isn't that great really

By Phlebas Go To PostShouldn't have bothered with it this year
He's been good in his 3 or so games after the Euros, but its been a complete embarassment of a year for our national team.
By Cleff Go To PostThe relationship between West Ham and Payet deteriorated very quickly. I wonder if it's partially down to that God awful transfer window they had where they failed to bring in the players they needed.
An enemy of Gold and Sullivan is my friend. Wishing him all the best.

I was a big fan of Oviedo, he's had a shocking time with injuries though. Not sure how good he is now
Gibson is shite and injury prone. Pound shop Tom Huddlestone.

As a United supporter I can assure you that he has none of Huddlestone's technique, except for in the shooting department.
More like a pound shop Sebastian Larsson.

I'm happy to see Mandzukic getting the praise he deserves. The one player we can't do without in our new clothes.

I'm glad they stopped cutting to his face whenever Higuain scores or does something brilliant. You could tell by the way he plays selflessly for the team (and Higuain) that he doesn't really care much about scoring as much as WINNING the game at all costs
too many flicks and passes in tempting shooting places if you know what I mean, bless his Balkan soul.

Selfless or not, you know how strikers get. Dybala yesterday being a fine example, lol.

first he was going around Torino giving away blankets to homeless people and Alessandro Diamanti and now he's snubbing Mad Max for taking him out at the 80th MINUTE to use poor wasted man Pjaca
that cognitive dissonance
I remember Cuadrado being shit to Allegri in training back in October too or something....this has to stop before it snowballs. Respect the Mad Man please.
edit: also we're talking about the same guy that accepted the bench till November last season
I mean, he should get chastised for it, but lol @ the media trying to make a case out of it. They're so starved for a scandal they're making shit up without even pretending to care about making sure it checks out. See the Agnelli & mafia headlines from last week. Sensational stuff, truly. Of course, as recent events on the political scene went to prove, there are more than enough idiots willing to believe anything that makes them feel good about themselves, so I can't say I don't get why they do it.
I also loved some of the comments from the usual pundits regarding Juve vs. Inter.
"It could be a decisive match (???), the refs can't afford to make mistakes now."
Oh, but up until now it was fine? A good third (and I'm being conservative) of Roma's 10+ penalty calls were dodgy as fuck, but sure. Now it counts.
Speaking of ... This is brilliant, ahahaha.
Can't have the week leading to Juve - Inter without a Gigi Simoni interview about the Ronaldo vs. Iuliano incident.

Like MLS teams signing players who should be retired it has got nothing to do with footballing ability its all to do with the players name and their marketability.

I have no clue about how well Chinese clubs can do, but I am sure he can easily score a lot of goals there. The club is some recently promoted team? They seem to have a lot of money, but that just means they can easily ship Pato off if they get the chance to sign a better foreign forward.
Anyway, it absolutely made sense for Chelsea to loan him for 5 months. Already had two other forwards, who however were injury prone. So why not loan Pato, who had been stable and injury free quite some time in Brazil, to see if he could again perform at the big stage. If he flopped not a lot was wasted, especially with the season already being wasted. If he did perform well, he could also be signed.
Villarreal? Eh no clue. Does seem like a bad transfer, but I guess he was rather cheap for them (wiki says 3 mil lol) in the end and thought it was worth a gamble.
By Ciaran Go To PostI dunno why this is so funnyPep in Fm2017 is absolutely shit, high stats but City always fired him in the first or second year in all my games. Probably because his AI insists in playing a posession game in every situation.

Jose does better, winning it first time around, and Wenger, Poch has been the most consistent in getting top 4.

kinda why I was upset we kept Evra, Asamoah and Hernanes...such a waste of perfectly good spots. In Evra's case that's half a season down the drain...we should've just recalled one of our youngsters as an understudy to Alex

how bad/good is Conte?
By Ciaran Go To Posthow bad/good is Conte?Conte gets fired every first season, Does well in Juventus after Allegri leaves for Italy NT though.

A* for Lauren.
By Ciaran Go To PostConsidering he had a poor start to the season, it's surprising he's doing that well. Since he got back from injury it's been a goal every 93 minutes.
and Kane has the best minutes per goal return (one goal every 111.5 minutes) this season
which isn't that great really
Anyway, best goals per minute ratio belongs to the Scorpion King right now.

The thing is Chelsea weren't looking for a permanent new forward at the time, especially with the prices a good quality one would cost in January, when Remy was there as well. They were looking for a loan deal on a striker for 5 (or rather 4 actually) months. It was a small risk free gamble, in a season that was already messed up beyond repair, in a January transfer window where barely any players are available. People really tried to make a big deal out of it at the time, and what a hilarious deal it was for Chelsea at the time when really... It was really nothing.
It's not really random, it's based on their algorithms and internal stats system, and it's modified with personality traits that add or subtract to the algorithms.
The managers have stats for all the different categories of management, so if those stats are a good match for that club (I.e. a manager has bad talent scouting but works at a club with a good director) they can be successful. I remember checking Rodgers' stats when we hired him... they were pretty bad in most areas but I think he had a 19 or 20 (max) in man management. They change to reflect reality every year but not that drastically. It's not like FIFA where a mediocre youth player who was a 75 is suddenly 88 because he had his first team debut at Real Madrid.
