By Bold 2 in One Go To PostA native 4K machine would be too expensive, and absolutely redundant, when you can just build a PC that would do so much more. Not to mention the state of Xbox first party devs.
It's alright if all you play is Halo, Gears of War, or Forza though.

'Course they would. I bet Adam looked like he was 29 when he was 13.

Incredible to me that anyone's surprised.
It's exactly what they said it would be. Shocking stuff.
By Pele.gif Go To PostIf the Scorpio sells the same the Pro is doing, RIP Xbox.I don't think it's surprising that it is in fact a mid generation update. What's disappointing is that it appears its not nearly the leap that was being rumored.
They've lost this generation. They're no longer the lead marketing platform for third parties like they were for the 360 and their first party output has been lacking in huge ways for years now.
So who is this new machine supposed to appeal to? It's a weird position they've put themselves into.
Nintendo has a new $299 machine and Mario this fall.
Sony will likely drop the price of the Pro this fall to $299.
And now here comes MS with a new machine, no new games that we know of and likely a higher price tag...?
Like I said, tough sell.
By Pennywise Go To PostBeing sold out in alot of places is RIP ?
Pro is selling 10-15% of PS4 total sales on places that we get numbers like Japan and North America.
Is that good enough?
I dont think it is.
Did they change the Coke Zero recipe over the last couple of years? Remember it tasting much better than it does now.
By Laboured Go To PostDescribing Xhaka as the Swiss Charlie Adam seems more and more appropriate by the day.Xhaka is handsome. Charlie Adam looks... not handsome.

By Kidjr Go To PostI wonder what was said by Xhaka, zero time for racists dont care how much upside potential you may have. We'll take him off your hands if you don't want him. I'll take a serial child rapist if he knows where the back of the net is.

Yeah MS can't sell a console at a higher price than their opposition. They did this with the Xbox One and got destroyed.
They can't do magic too and develop a much better console than the Pro at the same price.
They are on a tough spot with the Scorpio. It was expected that they would have to lower the specs and be on pro levels to match their price.

It's sporting about 2 TFlops more than the Pro. We don't know what the pricing will be but I expect it to be about the same as what the Pro was.
The real problem is that it seems less special when you can play the exclusives on a PC.
I'm not worried about Xhaka. I always said that the his tackling was his biggest weakness. He needs to improve on that regard.
His distribution is excellent, decent long shooter, good header.
Lets be honest here, he was pretty unlucky on the pen he conceded against Allen and the red card against Swansea. The pen on Bournemouth and the red sunday were 100% his fault.
I will give him time before eating him alive.

By Pele.gif Go To PostHappy birthday Bold!Thank you, Pele!
to respond to your post, you are correct, having the Scorpio come out a year later has put them in a tough spot.
They are releasing a more powerful machine that has to be price-conscious and by the time they match the Pro, Sony would have the time to undercut them still price-wise.

By Pele.gif Go To PostPro is selling 10-15% of PS4 total sales on places that we get numbers like Japan and North America. It is.

I dont think it is.
It's first and foremost an addition to the normal PS4, for people who want better performances, who own a 4k TV or those that don't have a PS4 yet, where the Pro is a more attractive option.
They will certainly not sell more than the normal PS4, which already had plenty of cheap bundles and price cuts during the holidays (which is part of the reason for the 10-15% number during the holidays).
Markets are also different. They really underestimated the demand in alot of EU markets. As I said before, you can't get one in Germany unless you find one in a local market. Every big chain got a preorder time for 2-6 weeks. The last shipment a local shop had for example, was sold out within 2 days.
And EU markets or the german market in my case, is usually one that get's enough consoles. Just ask Flutter about the initial shipment in Malaysia for comparsion.
The market for those additions is definitely there. Scorpio will gain alot of plus points, if they have an UHD player like the X1S, but it's still gonna be incredible hard for MS.
By Pele.gif Go To PostPro is selling 10-15% of PS4 total sales on places that we get numbers like Japan and North America. It's priced higher and the vast majority that wanted a Pro already got one at launch. I'm not surprised at its sales at this point as many will get almost no benefit from the new system. You really should have a 4k tv, just to start.
Is that good enough?
I dont think it is.

I think the biggest problem is that they won't be making games exclusive to the Xbox 'Pro'.
It's the same reason I opted out of the pro, all that extra hp and it's just an upscaled version of a PS4 game.
I got a pc for that.

I think they shouldve waited and gone to another gen in 2018.

Now that would really piss off the base of customers. BC will be easier anyway next gen because the chipset family will be the same.

Unless they have some good first party games coming out by the end of 2017.
Xbone has no games. People saying the Switch will get no third-party stuff but look at the Xbone lol missing out on so many Japanese titles.

By Wedward Go To PostA lot or a little?6 teraflops for Xbox One, 4.4 teraflops for PS4 Pro.
According to Eurogamer, it might not be good enough for native 4k in most AAA games though, so those games will use an upscaling technique like checkerboard rendering to get it done.

Arsenal should be fine as long as Sanchez is still healthy.
The man just tears up defences when he's pissed. His performance against Bournemouth in the second half was incredible.

Arsenal will go out to Bayern or Napoli in the CL and finish a distant second in the league.
Sanchez will go.
Ozil and Wenger will stay.
Giroud will persist into next season.
Wilshere will return and immediately get injured.
Welbeck will continue being average.
Spurs will continue being the better team and still finish behind them.
