Read that Cech also had a horrible fracture once, which was the reason why he wears his headpiece.
Also apparently his skull is thinner than normal due to being part of a triplet, which makes sense why he's still continuing having it on.

Wouldn't place too much credence on the "fighting for his life" bit, they are the only media outlet running it + Hull themselves couldn't confirm it when asked by their local BBC outlet.
No other news outlet apart from The Mirror is reporting it as of yet, so I'm really hoping that isn't true.

Thankfully he's at a hospital that specialises in these cases and he's currently getting the best care atm.
By batong Go To PostMoreno vs Xhaka vs Rojo in a tackle challenge would be exciting. Are you thirsty for concussions?
Still could be a serious injury, considering it was an impact that was hard enough to cause a skull fracture. Hope that he will not from any side effects.
By Hitch Go To PostJust seen the penalty hull should have hadits because they know they can get away with any errors and nothing will happen to them
Officiating is definitely getting worse.
worst is being relegated to championship for 1 matchday
On that penalty that Hull should have had: I am not sure what view the linesman had. But as soon as the incident happened, in pretty much perfect timing, another Hull player walked right in front of the referee blocking his vision.
Anyone saying officiating is becoming worse has a bad memory, or are just simply talking out of their ass. Sure we don't have a super ref like Collina right now, but looking at it overall, it's certainly not getting worse or have gotten worse. The only thing that happened is: Much better replays than some time back, we have cameras on everything that highlights every single mistake, and the game has gotten quicker over the years. What football needs is a fourth ref able to watch replays. Referee's just can't see everything in this day and age. They couldn't 20 years back either though.

Yeah Cahill certainly meant that...

You're a fucking moron.
Seen blood and teeth on the field when I played. It just shocks you that you play a game where it is possible but it is possible.
Okay, maybe this should have happened to Charlie Adam. Or maybe not. Brain injuries are not to be made fun of. Guy might be dealing with walking and imbalance difficulties for years if it is bad. May have vision problems. Hopefully the press made too much of this.

Hull released a statement saying that, so no shit Dr. Yurt.
Chelsea play rough for sure. Cahill didn't mean that but they always play rough and it's not surprising injuries happen.
By Ciaran Go To PostRyan Mason's injury is not as bad as those intial reportsIf someone told me Rooney had a major brain injury, I'd say that's fake news as Wayne Rooney never had one to injure. #cantmakefunofbraininjuries
By jts Go To PostBest goalscorer and header I’ve ever seen in my life was Mario Jardel, no doubt about it. 266 goals in 274 games in club football. Don’t think I’ll ever see someone like him again.Easily one of the most underrated strikers in European football. He was incredibly deadly in the box and it wasn't just against Portuguese teams. I remember a match between Porto and Milan where he came of the bench to score twice, giving Porto an incredible 2-3 victory in Milan against a squad that had Di Baggio, Simeone, Weah, Maldini and Desailly.
Too bad he became a cokehead even before hanging his boots.
Even if it's not life threatening it's still a horrific accident and the scary thing is that aerial duels happen dozens of times every game and it could happen to any player in any given game
Crooks' spin on Rooney is incredible
Rooney stood up to Sir Alex Ferguson (and quite rightly) when he felt his manager wasn't buying the players befitting of Manchester United, prolonged David Moyes' tenure at the club with virtuoso performances having been told he was surplus to requirements
Holy fuck.
Well he was right about Ferguson being too soft by overestimating the youth prospects but that was incredible.
Well he was right about Ferguson being too soft by overestimating the youth prospects but that was incredible.
I wouldn't say he overestimated the youth products. He just had too much faith in the system that brought him so much success to continue producing world class players. Biggest strength is your biggest weakness and all that

Nothing happening in the office today. Have 8 lovely hours to think about how Liverpool lost to Swansea at Anfield on Saturday.

Dr Yurt can you diagnose me
My football team started off with the best first half of a season in their history in the premier league
Then we drew to shit, drew to 11 walking brand endorsements, then lost to shit
In between that we drew to shit, barely beat that shit on the return, and lost to more shit in the cup
Give it to me straight doc, what's happening

You go hard in the first half of the season and then your dick limps in the second half.
Take two of these hard lad pills and call me in the morning.
By Oddinho Go To PostDr Yurt can you diagnose meIt sounds like your team is suffering from Gigi Delnerititis, where when faced with shit opposition, your body and mind cannot be arsed and you just end up rolling around in the mud with them.
