Was saying how the run in December meant we would need to win every game in January to kick on and obviously that hasn't happened.
Tells us two things 1) Mentally team isn't there. Poor vs Liverpool and then really poor early on today. Unable to perform when it counts. 2) Attack is a major issue. As I said at half time, were just not a good team. It's frustrating because it looks like it could be a good team but 32 goals in 20 games is not good. It's a major shortcoming and we'll have to address it somehow.
I know it won't happen if I think we're at the point now where we give up on the league and focus on cups. Personally I don't give much of a shit about finishing in the CL places. It's no real achievement and it's too far off anyway. People will say we gained one point on Liverpool and may gain another on either City or Spurs but this team isn't good enough to capitalise on that down the road.
Focus should be on trying to win a couple of the cups.
