I just realised that Sony doesn't actually have a logo.
Well it's just their company name, but with the font and all that is kind of a logo. It's a decent one, despite being so boring.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostI don't know. You wouldn't recognize the Nike logo by itself if you didn't know the brand, from years of exposure.
If i was to see that logo I would have no idea what it is without the Juventus written next to in.
In fact, N8 joked about it looking Korean, but for me that is the Korean 기 (actually really impressed that I typed that perfectly on my laptop without the Korean keys on it)
edit: it does look good on the ball and reminds me of the old branding Nike did for club balls
That's why this one is mostly applied with "Juventus" on the top for now. Once it gets some recognition, they can let the training wheels go away some more.
I think it's a classy modern logo/brand that will certainly look better on a regular clothing and merchandise than a traditional football crest. Although, I have to admit I prefer a regular football club crest on an actual football shirt, and Juve's latest one was updated enough and good looking.
No biggie. It's good to experiment. I'm sure they will not completely let go of the traditional crest.
By Woodenpapangus Go To PostNike, McDonalds, Shell. All brilliant branding, instantly recognizable, much better than Ferrari imo, not even the best car brand/logo combo. Apple is brilliant as well though.
Wooden pls, I don't associate with anything that doesn't cost less than x100 what the average joe can afford.
I can't believe I forgot those three. ;p, espcecially Nike
Juve is opening the J-village and the hotels in the summer so it makes sense to introduce it now I guess
can you imagine a hotel with a football logo? Not many logos can pull that off.
the PL logos are mostly nice as far as brands go, like United's devil is really cool by its own and same for Chelsea's lion
I guess we could've just kept the bull, but we already had a bull-only logo briefly! (and it was brilliant)
imo

True, but I struggle to know that as representative of Juventus.
I wish Arsenal would just bring back the cannon.

Thy should upgrade to something modern like a gold plated uzi with an ACOG scope and laser pointer.

The bull is why I thought of the prancing horse lol.
I so hope Juve are playing in Turin next Xmas. Would love to see Juve while staying in the J stadium. Otherwise let them play in Rome.

Sadly, we have done nothing to deserve a gold played anything.

I don't know what all clubs don't just use the Sansolini designs.

Here are the full quotes from the owner of Tiajin Quanjain:
‘Our club had a massive investment plan for the new season but it was tightened up by the new rules,’ Yuhui told Tianjin Sports Channel.
‘I made an appointment with Mendes and he came to my hometown to visit me. At that time, we were interested in signing Costa,’ he added.
‘PSG told us Cavani would only be allowed to leave in June, even though the player himself was willing to join us. The same can be said for Costa because Chelsea would only let him leave in June. However, the new season of CSL will almost reach the halfway stage in June, we can’t wait so long.’
‘We need an out-and-out striker so we made a bid for Benzema. We also made an attempt for Falcao,’ he added.
‘As a matter of fact, the club had even prepared the contracts for Falcao and [Benfica striker] Raul Jimenez. We had already reached agreement with them on wages and bonus. The pair were expected to sign the contracts, but the new rules forced us to give up on them.’
Ajax and Sao Paolo are the best of the bunch out of those. A lot of them are the dude just taking one aspect of current logos and just blowing it up or removing borders(which he did in the Ajax one) not really 'vintage'

looks ace as far as 'brands' go
The official app icon should look great too.
I wouldn't mind the new Juve logo if it was part of a badge as well as standing on its own, but removing everything else just goes too far. I like all the tradition and history of football and rebranding as if you are a new start up kind of ignores all of that.
So like three days wages. That'll learn him!
And this is the best thing I've seen regarding Juve logo and branding update...
Also, what an episode...
The new Juve logo is awesome... it will become one of the most iconic ones soon.
It goes against tradition and culture and all that bs but it will become so easily recognizable and marketable. Marketing/branding genius.

Also, I would go see it, but it's not available around here yet. Not the original (english) version, at least.
The new Juve logo will become iconic entirely by virtue of being simulataneously shite and representing one of the biggest clubs in the world.
By Zabojnik Go To PostMovie going rgb leds, how's Silence? It's a very hard film to recommend as it deals with a lot of complex themes and questions. It kind of stayed in my mind for a week or so (and still has), as certain scenes came to me as I was going through daily life, but I'd say if you respect film and especially a master of filmmaking like Scorsese, you'll probably find it a great experience. That's what it is, it's an experience everyone has to go through. I'd say it's one of his 'best' films.
Me and n8 have both seen it.

For what it's worth, I can see myself incorporating the new logo in my surroundings. It's minimalistic and symbolic enough. I can also see myself owning products other than t-shirts and other sports apparel with said logo. Could never force myself to buy obviously branded Juve stuff in the past. Just too ... I don't know, tacky, tribal, fandom-y. I can see myself buying a phone case with the new logo, or putting it up in my hobby room somewhere. The sheer aestetic of it doesn't even matter, it's a just matter of getting used to it. I'm surprised at how little it took me.
Regardless of what you think of the design, I think going with "J" was the right choice. Seems obvious now with J-Stadium, J-Medical, etc.

I tried on Friday but walked out because kids with phones showed up and were messing around for half an hour in the front row.
I'm going in a few hours to see Live By Night and then hopefully Silence if I feel up for it. It's nearly three hours long.
I'm probably going to see Silence at the end of the week but I tried watching the Last Temptation of Christ yesterday and Jesus that is Scorsese's most boring film. The amount of New York accents is quite jarring too.

Sign and loan back to Boro would be best.

Can Barca or Atletico even afford Costa in the summer? We're talking like £70m+ here.
I suppose Griezmann to United would fund an Atletico move, but would they really need him with the attacking options already on their payroll?
Why Barca is being linked is beyond me. They need to get younger in the middle of the park and stronger in the back. Costa does nothing for them short term.

Trouble with Costa is that he turns 29 in October. That makes getting silly amounts for him that much harder.
