By Wedward Go To PostHe should have replaced most of them in one transfer window? Ok.All of them? No, of course not. But he should've tried harder to bring in players to mend an (by footballing standards) ancient squad. That defence wasn't going to fix itself or by the addition of a single £50 million player.
He had the finances and chose poorly. It happens.
I'm not saying it's "easy as" to rid the team of personnel either, especially when you consider that most of them are probably on astronomical wages - plus don't actually want to leave in the first place.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostThe German Federation didn't allow to have a company name as the name of the club.Luckily the English FA don't give a shit about that kind of thing.
By Wedward Go To PostHe is by refusing to change his tactics. I think he could find a better system for the players he has. But he doesn't because this is the way he wants his team to play.I have to disagree with this.
Because the mistakes they're making aren't just about the "system" which is fast becoming a catch all term for everything City do wrong. His players can't track runs, or anticipate danger. That isn't a problem with the system.
Also - while I take the point that he wants players who suit his approach - he has already altered it somewhat. It's just that all the alterations have...well, failed.
By Lego Go To PostHe doesn't because he's an egotistical moron.
Probably.
But he has also won a lot of trophies with his system.

Of course he has a say. He may even have final say. But that doesn't mean it's his fault if they are unable to move some players out. Look how long it has taken United to move out all the deadwood. It's not easy.
leave City alone, I would much rather we focus on United's fans piping down.
I've always wanted to see Ronaldo in that system! Wish I could watch it..

I think when Pep gets it right his teams can be very solid defensively. I don't think he has ever been very good in the transfer market though and that is going to be a bigger problem because City aren't Barca or Bayern.
By Frustrated_me Go To PostThat's a fantastic 3-5-2 set of players though. Wish I could see it, but need to get up early tomorrow.

This game is going to be bonkers. So hyped.
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostNo one says it's his fault for not getting players out.
Francis did.
I'm not a fan of Joe Hart in the slightest but the fact that he's in Turin and Bravo is in Manchester is madness.
Hart and Kompany, cunty as they are, were the heart of the team.

By Francis Go To PostGuardiola should've replaced most of them, though - and that's on him.
By n8 dogg Go To PostPep has a terrible transfer record :lol

He really does. Especially with defenders.
Yes, I was talking about buying players. Never said anything about selling.
It's possible to replace someone without letting them go.

Pep's philosopheh was always 'if we have the ball then we don't need to defend'
Puyol was the only dude standing back, and only because he can't shoot or pass.

Between home-grown players and having a full squad, City really can't sign more players without letting some go.
I mean they have Bony and Mangala out on loan lol.
By Francis Go To PostYes, I was talking about buying players. Never said anything about selling.Well, to be honest with City it's not that simple. They still have a wage limit, and a lot of players are on stupidly high wages as it is.

For who don't follow Liga, Sevilla are 3rd in the league and are incredibly dangerous playing the wings.

By n8 dogg Go To PostPuyol definitely could pass
Yeah, he was def they least technically gifted player on that team, but he was still a very good player.
Spurs are going to hammer them anyway so we may as well pause and see what state they're in after that.
By Lego Go To PostCity's problem is the tactics, not the players.tactics are fine, we just don't have defenders capable of understanding tactics
growing pains innit

City had a team from the Scottish Premiership embarrassing them in the Champions League.
You have enough attacking talent, you don't need your centre backs to pass it out and your fullbacks in midfield.
Speaking of 3-5-2 ...
Injuries and suspensions forced Allegri to go back to our good ol' tre-cinque-due. Curious to see how we'll perform, it's been a while. Sandro + Cuadrado on the wings sounds like fun, however it's Sandro's first match after the injury and Cuadrado hasn't been utilized a whole lot so far. Not too bothered about the result. I'd rather we didn't lose, obviously, but a draw in Firenze wouldn't see me fuming either. In HD we trust.

your best defender has a micro penis, and I can even tell by his skin that he doesn't eat salads.

Gud lineup, a draw to in Firenze is very gud indeeeeed but I'd much rather gamble and go all in like motherfuckers. L or W, BABY!
Kick it in the stands!
I just mean, you have to adapt to what your players are comfortable with. Some things just might not work in England.

Vulva is talking about Bailly
By Wedward Go To PostWhat top team in the world doesn't have their centerbacks passing it out?Probably only Atletico, only against the other top teams, and only if the other passes are a bit risky. Everyone else only launches it as a last resort I think.
Stones is hilariously shit at hoofing it, he can't help himself from sweeping it with a low trajectory
