Make Your Own Flight
You're hosting a party or a group of friends, whoever you want. And you want to recommend them 4-6 of your favorite beers/wines/scotch etc. From lightest to dark, IPA to Stout.
What's SLAENT's drink flight?

Mmmm, can't think of enough choices for each specific category, so I'll generalize for a party:
Old Fashioned (Angostura bitters, homemade syrup (equal parts sugar/water, get it to boiling, cool it), orange peel, big ice cube, Bulleit Rye or Bourbon of choice)
Glenlivet 12
Vodka Tonic (Tito's vodka)
Deschutes Mirror Pond Ale
Ft. George Vortex (for the IPA lovers, but drinkable for non-IPA lovers)
Dry Martini (Bombay Sapphire and an olive)

Nice to have a variety available and also tell people to feel free to bring something too.
For beer you can't go wrong with the Stella. It's lite and tasty and pairs well with most menu's.
I'm also a big fan of Mexican beers. Modelo is cheap in cans and honestly tastes as good as Corona to me.
Dos Equis Amber is what I like to eat with fish tacos, but they also have a line called Azul which is sweetened with agave. It's very tasty. They also have a less sweet winter lager that I like. It's a bit between a light lager and an ipa, but more lager and less disgusting ipa.
Not sure how many people you're hosting but a batch of sangria is never a bad idea. I like any Spanish red wine that I can buy by the gallon. I wouldn't pay more than $20 and that would be pushing it.
1 cup of sugar
1 pint of E&J brandy
1 litter of either sparkling mineral or seltzer water right when you serve
For fruit I like pears, pineapples, apples and halved grapes. But you can throw anything fresh in there and it's going to taste good with the booze. In fact canned pears and pineapples with the juices works great. Probably use half as much sugar if you go the canned route.
You can never have enough ice at any party.

I would start with a glass of Dom Perignon. Then would stock the fridge with St Bernadus Abt 12 and Peroni. I don't know much about wines, but there would be a selection of red and white Italians. For afters, I would have a selection of scotch Abelour A’Bunadh, Laiphroig Quarter Cask, Aran 10, Balvenie 12 Double Wood, Ardberg 10, and Laguvlin 16. Then I would have a bottle of sambuca for caffe corretto.
Lagavulin 16 is most excellent as is Balvenie 12 Double Wood. I have both bottles on my shelf. Aberlour A'Bunadh is also the stuff of legends, need to get a bottle.
By Tea Go To PostI need some good bourbons I only got scotch really.Buffalo Trace is good, decent price and pretty damn tasty.
