I like the Rostam album but I cant help thinking a few of these songs are going to sound awful live. Imaginig him performing stuff like 'Warning Intruders' or 'Never Going to Catch Me' when the vocals on the studio track already is so "lazily" sung seems like a disaster.
Apple Music accidentally leaked Father John Misty's new album, that was only announced this morning, that was intended to release June 1st. They've since removed it but it's out in the wild now lol. Below screenshot stolen from KTT.
Hopefully this was a planned release because otherwise that would suck for FJM.

I finally listened to this album. It’s great but leaves me wondering how the next Vampire Weekend is going to sound without him

It's been a good release week by the way. New albums from Nick Cave, DIIV, Wilco and Girl Band. Besides the usual suspects I'll just leave this single from a Dutch garage band here. Those into catchy rock tunes with a 90's vibe will dig it. Stuff like together PANGEA and King Tuff are right up there.

By Linius Go To PostNo, no, no. That last Vampire Weekend album is fire mate.
enjoyed it but they needed to trim at least 5 songs off that album.

Justin's not really Indie anymore but this Bon Iver record from earlier is flawless. Been listening to it regularly for two months now
