As far as songs from those releases. I'd go with Figure 8 from FKA Twigs and Hot Dog from Slime
By Linius Go To PostWhat are you into generally? Not too picky, easier to say I don't like country and jazz.

By Linius Go To Posthttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CG6jk5Q90DAI'll give the album a try. Not much hope though. Their music never seems to click with me.
New Deerhunter song lads. Album out on october 16.
The Sujfan Stevens album from earlier this year finally clicked for me.
Beautiful album.
Also time for me to admit that Depression Cherry sucks. Beach House is stagnating.

I really liked Depression Cherry. Not better than Bloom for me, though.
Going to give Destroyer's new album a listen. Kaputt was fantastic.

Same Kikarian, Bloom was just astonishing and it was always going to be hard to top or even match it. Good effort though.
Hasn't been a lot to grab my attention the last few weeks. Everything Everything's new album was good. Foals new drop was decent too but its getting loads of hype and I don't see it. Too much of the Mumford about them.

By PSY! Go To PostJust listen to Teen Dream.I gave up halfway through.
I can try, but like, I'm not gonna listen to a band because of two songs. I actually got irritated by how whiny and dragged out the album was.
By reilo Go To PostI finally decided to try The Weeknd - Trilogy… and enjoying it so far. Love the production.Trilogy is great, his cover of Michael Jackson´s Dirty Diana is amazing.

Greg from TDEP's new project right? Good shit.
Shit man, I like those Ryan Adams covers of T Swift. But Father John Misty steps up the fucking game with his Velvet Underground styled covers. Welcome To New York sounds like a thrilling Velvet Underground song now, FJM's Lou Reed is spot on. The guitars in that cover, oh my shit.

A local Austin artist, Max Frost, has a new EP out today and it's quite good. Check it out! Some of you may have heard his song White Lies back in late 2013. White Lies was in a Beats commercial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rVjF_k8V10

By GringoSuave89 Go To PostNew Disclosure album is so fucking good. Probably my favorite of the year. It's alright. Definite step down from their first one.
"Holding On" is a fucking jam though.
I never got into The Shins but I've always been a big fan of Broken Bells (Mercer AND Danger Mouse? Come on now, too good). I've come to the conclusion that Broken Bells is also quite a bit better and that Mercer's style within BB is much more preferable.
Need to give them a listen. I like the Shins a lot (their most recent album is probably their best) and everyone agrees the best thing about them is Mercer's voice.
Speaking of Danger Mouse, what does everyone think of Electric Guest, which he produced?
My favorite of theirs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OC2aPCuzjo

Broken Bells are okay. But far, far away from the brilliance of The Shins. Too bad the latter also took a nose dive with the last album.
Quite some interesting releases lately that I'm enjoying: Julia Holter, Wavves, CHVRCHES, Hooton Tennis Club and Protomartyr. And still have Deerhunter, DIIV and FIDLAR to look forward to. Have to say it's been a great year so far. And from what is still to come I can see two potentially top 10 albums.

Excited for the new Deerhunter too. Got into them via Atlas Sound.

Interesting to see you got into Deerhunter the other way around. I'm going to see both live on the same day next month, absolutely thrilling.
This fucking line-up :O :O
In case you didn't know, the lead guitar player from Deerhunter (Lockett Pundt) also does solo stuff worthy checking out: Lotus Plaza. The moment you put on one of his records you'll recognize that style of guitar play right away.
About Port of Morrow. I really didn't like it at first. Then I saw them live during the summer after the release and live I started to appreciate the songs much more. Still think it's their worst, but a 3/5 stars kind of album for me now.

Coheed and Cambria's 'The Color Before the Sun' is officially out. It's not part of the standard Coheed universe and a departure.
The new Cymbals Eat Guitars single is really gud.
'Lenses Alien' makes so much more sense to me after seeing it as a horror album. Appreciate it whole lot more now.

It's a bit poppy. But still feels like Coheed.
