3SP Has been permanently banned from SL&ENT.
We have tried on many occasions to find acceptable ground with him, but we never could. So we have had to take the unfortunate step of removing him from the site as his presence did not coincide with our vision for acceptable standards.

Below are some personal feelings on sentiments that have been expressed in this thread.
Personally, I'm not comfortable with taking pleasure in laughing at or mocking a former board member. Learning why someone was banned is fine, but I don't like dancing on a grave.
I also think shadow bans are a lame, passive-aggressive thing to do to a poster. Just ban them and be done with it instead of playing games with them.

To clarify, the shadow ban thing is an idea that's been floated about but it's been nixed from the admin perspective for similar reasons that Kibner outlined. So, while it's "funny" in a dark humor type of sense, it actually doesn't solve any problems and can be counter-productive.
