The reasoning was that I'm not allowed to complain about other posters in a community thread. I mean it's ridiculous because obviously I was posting directly in that thread too, but the mod I was talking to stopped replying. Maybe he couldn't think of a counter-argument and went through my post history to find a reason to ban me. He's done that before for some real lightweight shit, like being "aggressively sarcastic" (who the fuck isn't aggressively sarcastic on Gaf?) and once for "not reading the OP" (when I had in fact read the entire article linked in the OP, my suspicion is that the mod hadn't). A Ah well. Water under the bridge. Time for lollerpool
Ordinarily, I defended the moderation on GAF, but that's absurdly hypersensitive, even by GAF's standards.
Oh, well. I won't miss the PR-inflected hype threads, the list wars, the petty squabbles, and the eternal return of the exact same topics.
I was on GAF for 6 1/2 years without a ban; I'm exhausted by it now.

By YamabroHockeystreams has spoiled me. $20 bucks a month to watch all the leagues. Other sports need to catch up.
I use starstreams, which is basically the same as hockeystreams except there's no game archives and there's no dvr feature. However it's cheaper, I pay £6 a month, and it gives you access to pretty much every sport available, they also stream TV stuff like series, reality shows, awards etc.
They're currently not open for registration at the moment but it's definitely something I'll recommend.
