That's obscene. Although not surprising. In some FFT poll, 64 of 123 players said spitting was the worst thing you could do on a football pitch. Gross as spitting is, it's not worse than racism (42), homophobia (6) and punching someone (5).
Seems like it comes from a backwards time where men are men and spitting is for sissies. It's disgusting, sure. But as harmful as the others? Warranting seven game bans where violent conduct gets you three? Nah.

I don't think he played enough for people to say he was shit at Chelsea to be honest. Acclimatising to a new country, new pace, in the middle of the season and always playing as a sub. Clearly has something about him considering how good he was for Basel (seriously, played well every time I saw them), and now for Fiore.

I think it's more a case of asking why he wasn't playing consistently with us. And the obvious answer most are going to give is that the manager just didn't think he was better than the other available players.
That's good enough for me, but that doesn't mean I'm still not rooting for him to come good. He is still our player.
