On the Karl quote, here's my problem with it: he's making the assumption that the women in their lives didn't raise them right, and that any and all issues would've been solved with a male father figure instead. Fuck that.

I get that. Which is why I called him an asshole. I just don't think anyone should pretend Martin, Anthony and Smith aren't primadonas with giant issues of their own because Karl is an asshole himself.

They are! But the reasoning behind it or the "this would've fixed it" attitude is insulting beyond Melo and Kenyon. That's what makes the quote so absurd and more cunt-ish, because he's directly shitting on their mothers, and by extension single mothers all around the world.

I don't think getting abandoned by your father at birth is one of those things you just shrug off. Anybody would want to tell someone who took shots at them for that to eff off.

Let's not ignore the racial undertones of that father quote too. Karl is the same guy who said black coaches were being hired because of affirmative action instead of their merits back in the 90s.
