Blazers D… maybe the worst I have seen in years.
Pistons need a PG lol
... They actually have the second highest payroll in the league. Did not expect that.

35 mil for Turner and Crabbe breh...
but at least they aren't Dallas
I typed this all out and I just realised that the Cavs made 25 in the playoffs, lol. Regular/Post-season distinctions are dumb sometimes.
Oh well, pick it apart as you please.
They did it at a pace only the Cavs, Raptors and Spurs could beat based on average 3P%, which doesn't take into account the ability to generate that amount of attempts or shooter fatigue.
Doesn't take into account opponents either. Cleveland are the only other team this season to score 20 or more threes, and they did it against New York (18th in three-point defense), Portland (28th) and Dallas (30th). Houston have done it twice against Sacramento (26th) and broke the record against New Orleans (13th).
Maybe they should've tried a bit harder against the Kings the game before. Maybe if Mark Jackson wasn't such a butthole, we woulda had it 3 years ago. Don't think it'll take too long for the Cavs or Dubs to beat it.

By diehard Go To Postpeople care about that record? We're not going to win the championship, so might as well grab onto something? :\ I'll probably care a lot more if we ever get 26.
Now onto some stats people might care about.
32 NBA players average 20 ppg right now
Of those 32 Harrison Barnes ranks:
4th in Minutes per game
21st in rebounds per game
26th in 3pt%
29th in points per game
30th in free throw attempts per game
30th in PER
Tied for last of 32 in assists per game

One of those old And1 moves me and my squad used to do in middle school lol. Throw it out there with your off hand in one direction and bring it back with the other.
Never had the balls to do it in a game
Why did the West have to be six teams deep this year.
The first round against Houston is gonna be hard :/

we still have a couple of days left but who do you think will win warriors cavs game on the 25th? Personally warriors will be coming in after a back to back and only a days rest + love and james will kill them on the boards. Looking forward to it tho
By chandlerparsons Go To PostSo Lillard is the second worst defensive point guard in the league, only slightly above Isaiah Thomas? Damn.

Oh I know it was the God Shammgod, I just rarely see a guy sell that he's going left that hard, before he yanks it back.
Kyrie has the best Shammgod in the league, but that one was savage.
Btw the NBA put it on Youtube with multiple angles, the one from above is the best, starts at :25.

I remember over the summer I said that exact same thing
They should of kept Crabbe (because they have enough ball handlers between McCollum and Lillard) and got a god damn center. I still don't understand the reasoning behind going so hard for Turner..... but then if the fucking Nyets make a poison pill offer for Crabbe be smart enough to let him go.....
watched lakers cavs highlights
game looked fun but the cavs never really took it above 2nd gear. why did russell not play?

They offered Whiteside the same contract the Heat gave him and he picked Miami. He said Portland was a close #2 choice. They also went after Dwight but he went to Atlanta. I'm sure they reached out to Horford. Can't pay a center if they turn you down. It's why Ezeli was a gamble they took.
In a vacuum olshey made some pretty poor moves, but the situation wasn't exactly ideal. He is a value first GM and made some understandable gambles given the FA market. I mean, honestly his biggest fuck up was not reading the tea leaves with lamarcus. That afflalo trade, and LA leaving us for absolutely nothing hamstrung the franchise and anchored the team with long shot big man hopes (vonleh, leonard) and small, scoring guards who play no defense.
I don't think McCollum and lillard can coexist on a competitive team without a great, athletic interior defender.
I don't think McCollum and lillard can coexist on a competitive team without a great, athletic interior defender.
People still surprised at GMs just throwing huge wads of money at "promising" looking dudes in the NBA instead of getting some talent out of the D League at this point? Or getting an undrafted bro?
His contingency/insight into LaMarcus was pretty poor. It's approaching 18 months since he left and outside of Plumlee being serviceable, a core of Meyers/Vonleh/Aminu isn't gonna cut it. Meyers needs to get a few DNP-CDs in him, or ideally shipped out yesterday. He's not good. Aminu brings a ton of D as a tweener PF but he's not long term starter material, either. If you can fill the PF gap at the starter spot and have Crabbe/ET/Aminu come off the bench then you got a solid core. I'm gonna guess the only way Olshey gets that is if Crabbe gets sent out along with a first rounder, but I'd rather gamble with a weak bench than a flawed starting unit.
By p s y Go To PostBut why pay Evan Turner?Use it or lose it. Free agency money doesn't just stay around. With Damian's and CJ's contracts kicking in, and Plumlee's cap hold, that money is gone next summer. Plus ET does fill several holes on the bench: playmaking, he's the only guy that knows how to dribble, and he does play decent D.
We managed to have 5 pretty good starters some years ago and were still flawed. Well in hindsight we know why. Vet and "leader" was itching to be anywhere else and creating a rift.
The flaw was that the best player and "leader" of the team hated being a leader but wanted all the amenities/prestige that came with it.
Didn't realize athletes could be so passive aggressive and then that. I guess why not, they exist everywhere else.
LMA playing more minutes than last year but all of his numbers are the worst since his rookie year. I wonder how long that'll last.

By knux-future Go To Postso now Noel is out of the rotation completely.Philly getting him healthy for that trade to Golden State for Javale McGee and a first.

;_;
Apparently he was available for dead weight last summer too.

I don't even care anymore. They botched this shit so hard. Things were "fine" a week ago, and then they decided to just fuck shit up and play everyone out of position because reasons. Embiid lowkey dissed Jah, Noel is in his feelings, Dario is confused at what he is even doing, Brett is looking more dead inside by the hour.
fuck, I just want to watch a competent team for once....not even good, just one that can do basketball things at an ok level. We had that and couldnt help but ruin that too.
Stunk for Monk I guess

Lakers are either having to give up firsts or D'snitch or the like. There are going to be plenty of teams very interested in Noel.
POR, LAL, GSW, CLE, HOU, MIN, SAS, PHX.
I mean, He'd probably help the wolves out a lot, and they can afford to give up a pick or two now. They don't need to stay young (if the 76'ers want another pick).
Few of those teams put together weak packages. But they'll drive the price up.
By knux-future Go To PostStunk for Monk I guess
Play junk for Monk was my first guess but this is good too
The Lakers don't even need to give up much now...thanks to how everyone involved ruined everything. No one is going to give up much for a guy who called out his FO and even more so now since we HAVE to move him before his agent gets pissy.
Its funny tho...this was supposedly something Colangelo was going to fix.
