I'm not trying to "lambast" the man for his financial work (because he's done a brilliant job in that department), or due to his success in acquiring the four main targets which Mourinho requested over this past summer - but rather suggesting that United get a proper director of football with actual experience in the field to work alongside him.
I can assure you that I'd feel the same way regardless of our standing. It's a necessity with the amount of gutting this squad needs. You just have to glance at how many players have been bought as opposed to sold over the last few seasons to see that there's a big problem which can't continue.
Woodward definitely isn't the main issue but he's a factor.
