By blackace Go To PostWaisea Nayacalevu and some of the Fiji Rugby team were in a club I was DJing at last night. I bummed a cigar off me 😂
Enormous fucking dudes.

Complete madness from the moment they entered Glasgow (125km plus to go), no fall or broken shoe was gonna stop him today.....what a beast

if only Jaromír Jágr didn't retire (from the NHL) at the young age of 47 he could've gotten there. he only missed 42 points from that fact not being true anymore.
She was one thousandth of a second outside of the fastest qualifying time in the semi-finals and thought she had missed out on the final. She had to race one hour after this video.
Two buggys taking athletes to the stadium crashed into each other. One of them had the 200m runners including Noah Lyles. Apparently there are no serious injuries, although one of the Jamaican athletes was touching their eye.
I appreciate the track and field posts. Agree with the announcers that the piece of plastic beyond the foul line is absolutely dangerous.
Watched diamond league yesterday. Shorty never stood a chance.
Reminds me of Merry & Pippin running in the final battle.

I’ve never seen someone blatantly throw games as much as Hetmyer
I know I’m probably the only one that watches cpl but I hate this guy so much.

Women's middle/long distance running has been crazy this season.
In June, Faith Kipyegon broke the 1500m WR. The next week, she broke the 5000m WR and the next month she broke the mile WR. Last week, Gudaf Tsegay broke Kipyegon's 5000m record by 5 seconds. And now the marathon by Tigist Assefa.

Looks like normal service has resumed in the Ryder Cup. America still has the same ridiculous stock of talent from last time but they just love getting reamed in Europe I suppose
18th hole nightmares for the US lads
Rahm's chip/put were ridiculous, both so much speed but flag/back of the hole did wonders.

Agree with the lad on Second Captains the other day
Would much rather Europe lost and the tournament be a proper tense competition than the walkovers we've been seeing over the last eight years or whatever.

A generational pounding.
If you're Captain and keep playing Thomas and Spieth, you deserve this score
Homa only one showing up both days and Cantlay 3 big puts saving from further embaressement

Good final day of the golf, just close enough for the US to make it a contest even if the scoreline was comfortable in the end
Just learned a fact that boggled my mind. I was browsing purplegaf and saw the thread on active athletes who are goats in their sports. I was thinking of any that hadn't been mentioned, and one that came to mind was the female triple jumper Yulimar Rojas, who has been dominating the past few years. I decided to see if there are any other possible contenders in history so I looked up triple jump at the Olympics and saw this:
The first ever women's triple jump at the Olympics was in 1996. Even Jonathan Edwards world record predates this. For context, the women's long jump at Olympics dates back to 1948 and the high jump in 1928.
Women being allowed to compete at the triple jump for the first time happening the same year as the Spice Girls releasing their first album is ridiculous.

By FortuneFaded Go To PostHad no intention of watching it until I saw people saying it might not have been as accidental as assumed having seen the Malarchuk one years ago. I've never played ice hockey and don't know what you do with your feet when checked, but I'm not entirely comfortable calling the kick unintentional tbh
Ice Hockey player got a skate to the neck yesterday and has since died.
Will obviously bow to the better knowledge of others there though, since I can't imagine what would possess someone to kick a player in any part of their body with skates on.
