By blackace Go To PostIf gaining a basic basketball skill taught to any player in elementary school is the improvement (i.e. attack the basket) then I wouldn't brag on it..So when MKG learns the elementary school skill of "hit an open shot" you dont think we will hear about it?
Its not bragging. If i was trying to "brag" i'd say he might play the best defense of any young PG ive seen in a decade.
Does MKG get his first three before Wiggins gets his first assist?
Maybe... (is the only answer I could come up with... )

Get rid of Trey Burke and look how cocky you get
By IWMTB19 Go To PostIt's 3 games into the season.
So, I've always had a personal rule that nothing really means anything until November's done. Teams are still figuring out rotations, figuring out how to integrate new acquisitions in practice rather than theory, and key vets everywhere are still playing their way into shape. And some teams and players are just going to luck into dumb hot streaks because of it. Like, who saw a 1 game Knick winning streak this early in the season? Not I, good sir. Not I.
But.
I'm not gonna lie, it's way more fun just taking everything at face value. Siakam for ROTY.
By blackace Go To PostWhat happened to the meek dIEHARD of the Carlos Boozer era?I'm still here.. i just have to be right about Exum. It's all i got.

I'm more worried about Batum hitting shots than MKG.
Dude is slow as fuck right now and has to shenanigan every ball screen to get shots up.

Wiggins -600

By MyBackIsBroken Go To PostEarly season numbers are always bonkers
There's always a guy or two who goes off in the first game. But that list is a lot of guys who've put up multiple 30-40 point games at the same time.
By livefromkyoto Go To PostThere's always a guy or two who goes off in the first game. But that list is a lot of guys who've put up multiple 30-40 point games at the same time.well, only one guy on that list has had multiple games like that. AD. russ had 50 & derozan had 40.
By MyBackIsBroken Go To Postwell, only one guy on that list has had multiple games like that. AD. russ had 50 & derozan had 40.
Note I said 30-40 point games.
Westbrook's gone 32, 51, 33
AD had 50, 45, 18
DeRozan's scored 40 & 32.
Lillard put up 39,29,37
KD had 27, 30 & 37
Basically, all five of those guys are murdering anyone that's not the Spurs right now.

Well Russ out there averaging 33/10/10 a game like Big O

People getting hyped for the Warriors game might be interested to know that we'll be coming off a B2B against the Clippers the night before. Warriors will have a day of rest.
Should be must-see TV for the probable shenanigans involving YNB/KD and Green/Adams, but those expecting a great game should probably dampen their expectations.

By Smokey Go To PostLook at Gondo already prepping his emotions when he see KDNah, watching that opening-night game cleansed me of most of the feels.
wiz will probably be picking 8 or 9th this year
Ernie will finally bite it but he's used up all the cap already so miracle trades are the only way to get better.
This is fine. Thanks Ted.

Some terrible luck and a rough early schedule for the Lakers. Definitely reassessing their ceiling a bit though. 50 wins is probably out of the question this year.
By Moris Go To PostRandle looking like a legitimate NBA starter 2 of the last 3 games has been a welcomed surprise. Now if luke can work his magic to teach him defense.
By KingGondo Go To PostTotally fine with it. Steve is a stud.$25mil/yr for your third best player? That's $8mil/yr more than Draymond and I'm not sure he's 3/4 as good.

Draymond is underpaid. Comparing new deals to those reached before the TV money flooded in is not fair.
And Steve is pretty easily our second most important player, if not the second best outright. And he's still only 23.

If Adams is your second best player going forward then good luck to Russ' back carrying all that weight.
Adams is their second best player for sure. And that little floater thingy is pretty unstoppable, so his offense is also coming along
Let me put it this way... if you replaced Blake Griffin with Al-Farouq Aminu, which instantly turns DeAndre into the Clippers second best player, how fearful are you of the Clippers as a sleeper contender?
By reilo Go To Post
That's a lotta money.
Instant max for anyone with the slightest potential will become a problem for the league eventually.
By Puddles Go To PostSome terrible luck and a rough early schedule for the Lakers. Definitely reassessing their ceiling a bit though. 50 wins is probably out of the question this year.I think if they are able to trade Deng for Rivers it would be a mutually beneficial transaction. Lakers get a running mate for DLo and the Clippers get a vet SF to really help put them over the top.
E: I truly believe if they make that trade before the end of November, 50 wins is still possible for the Lake Show.
By MyBackIsBroken Go To Post3rd best?He would have been fourth best, but Presti sadly gave up on the Carlisle proclaimed star of Waiters. Actually, I forgot that Oladipo is on the roster now. Adam's is still fourth best but behind Victor and the quickly rising star of the singular Kyle Singler.
By reilo Go To PostLet me put it this way… if you replaced Blake Griffin with Al-Farouq Aminu, which instantly turns DeAndre into the Clippers second best player, how fearful are you of the Clippers as a sleeper contender?Nobody thinks we're a sleeper contender, not even OKC fans. The only teams that qualify as sleeper contenders are the Clippers, Spurs, and possibly the Celtics. Probably not even them though.
I think we're hoping for Oladipo to evolve into a star-level player, and possibly to make room for a free agent signing by trading Kanter for space at some point. Free agency is super-risky though.
The roster will look much different by the end of the season, I can almost guarantee that. Gonna be a lot of tinkering with lineups and putting the younger guys through their paces throughout the year.
