We're dealing with a known All NBA quantity in V-trigger mode, in the perfect situation for voters to consider him an MVP. I mean yeah, losses, injuries, lots can happen. But with Lebron recuperating on the fly & letting Kyrie drive the bus until the games matter, I feel like we have a good idea who the serious candidates are going to be. Russ, KD/Curry, Kawhi, Lillard, AD if he doesn't get hurt. I guess you can throw Harden into that mix, but I feel like people are in "prove it to me" mode with that guy right now. And of those candidates, I think most would say a couple of guys are going to be above the others for various reasons.

Curry's going to be a legend, probably the best shooter of all time, but when it comes down to it KD's going to be the best all around player on that team. Those two are going to split the vote, and the insane level of talent on that team is going to make voters wary of labelling just one of them most valuable in the league. They'd have to have a crazy historic season, like 76 wins, before voters would feel compelled to give it to someone on the Warriors, imo.

I'm not even calling your team out like its ugly. I'm just wondering why it's so popular. I have my MVP candidates as Leonard and my dark horse is Lillard. Like it would take another historically great season statistical from Curry, or Klay or Durant to replicate that to have MVP considerations this year. I don't think we're getting over 400 3pts this year.
Me and pilon aren't homers as much as Method and Wahoo. We're pretty capable to pointing out things we don't like about our team play and personality wise.

Steph and Durant shouldn't get it. TBH Lebron shouldn't have ever gotten it in Miami either, that team was too stacked. He just lucked out because from 2012-2014 there was no one else. Rose and Kobe were consistently injured. Ditto for Westbrook and Durant (except that one time Durant got it, obviously). PG only really played MVP ball one time, and only for 3 months at that. The Spurs didn't have anyone that shined and no one else in the league could produce lebron level numbers.
That's since changed. Harden, Curry, Westbrook, among others have shown for 3 years that they can put up gaudy numbers.
