The Clippers don’t draft well, they don’t stagger minutes, and they don’t have a lot of lineup versatility. Those are all small issues when you have the kind of star power they possess, but their playoff losses over the past few seasons have been by the tiniest of margins. They have consistently been on the wrong side of history, and they don’t seem to have learned any lessons from that. Maybe they were just unlucky, or maybe they needed to make bigger changes to their decision-making process and overall philosophy in the offseason.
If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, the Clippers lost their way a long time ago.
Basically.
I hate the Clippers as much as anyone but lets be honest, being the clear cut #3 team in the West is not the worst to be.

Yet none of that changes the fact that they have/had a team that can totally chip and they keep failing to do so even when healthy.
Can they though? They have always been a decent distance behind the best team in the West. I probably think a little less of them than most though..

I probably think a little less of them than most though..Nah, that sounds about right and I'm pretty high on a healthy Clippers squad. They would have always needed a bit of good luck to get out of the WCF.

Dang.
Chris Paul has this weird thing where he's already decided he's not good enough to take a team far, so he tries to work the refs for an advantage.

I probably think a little less of them than most though..They've never been a serious title contender. I feel like memphis has had more years of genuine contention. And that i'd believe more in Portland getting hot and going through than the Clips.
Their big "3" is really a big 2. And for what ever reason CP3 and Blake REALLY don't get a long (personality wise) and they seem to limit each others game on the floor, instead of making it easier for the other player.
Take that to a team culture that really seems ... petulant? It's one thing to play angry, it's one thing to play with a chip, but they don't really do either.
I mean we're all pretty much agreeing just getting into semantics now. They're missing something or should have changed something up and the results would have been better but they kept rolling out the same exact shit.

Their bench has always been shite. And the team culture just seems off. On and off the court.
The DJ experiment seems done to me. But it feels like you see BAD stories about blake. Like red flag stories. But really, they need to pull the trigger on a big trade. IMO. Just to shake things up.
Doc won't blow it up though. Jordan almost forced them to blow it up and then they had the intervention. Curious to see if the same thing happens with Blake.
JJ Reddick is also the only player in that starting five that actually plays well without the ball offensively, unless you wanna count DeAndre setting picks as a unique skill.

I look at their two stars, CP3 and Blake and instantly think "how is that PnR not more / as feared as the Amare / Nash". There's a whole bunch of questions that just linger about the whole org.
It's a little annoying even as a fan who likes to hate on CP3, because when you watch him play, you know he's amazing. You don't understand how they could lose. And blakes right there.
I was falling asleep while watching AD's 50 pts highlight video (lol) when this pop-up:
Now yes, I've seen that video before. I'm not living under a rock. What's fascinating though looking back is not only that the title is accurate (Melo fleeing), but the dude that got pounded in the face actually got thrown down by his fellow Knick teammate (Jeffries) who ran after Melo lmao. I mean wtf?

By livefromkyoto Go To PostLove starting off strong….but come on. No way that was a foul on 2Pat.
Raptors have been getting nothing from them on the other end too.

The announcers called it the moment it happened. Can't throat slash.

2 point game...WTF @ the Cavs playing full court press in game 2. It seems like a bunch of teams came into the season ready to start the playoffs.
