By DY_nasty Go To Postold ass marvin is better than turner, crabbe, and harkless tho soooooEvery single one of those players is shooting better than Marvin's 33.6FG%
By reilo Go To PostHe gasses up Marvin Williams, it's fine. It's more commentary on how when Dy shit talks players they play better or get more green.
By DY_nasty Go To Postlook at this guy
his team plays ian clark for fucks sake lol
You play Ramon Sessions, whos laughing now?
By reilo Go To PostEvery single one of those players is shooting better than Marvin's 33.6FG%okay, lets not talk about defense. how very portland this year
By reilo Go To PostHarkless is a 6'8 Small Forward and plays SF 85% of the time. I don't understand.its 2016. if you're between 6'6 and 6'9, you're a matchup tweener
especially on a team with a backcourt like damian and cj lol
By Kabro Go To PostDeng for Lavine.
who says no?
I'd give up our 2nd rounder this year if Thibs can find a way to take him, his contract is awful. Minny doesn't really have any bad long term deals that we could take on either, so doubt anything can be done unless Thibs truly believes he can fix Deng, I don't think any NBA exec is that foolish.
By pilonv1 Go To PostYou play Ramon Sessions, whos laughing now?you play javale mcgee. your time is coming
By reilo Go To PostDanny Green gets $40mil/4yr. I don't see what the issue is.If you think Plumlee is fine then enjoy mediocrity... He isn't horrible but I would say either big is upgradeable... Noel would be that and if Moe or Crabbe was the pricetag it should be a no-brainer...
Plumlee is a fine C, not a top C obviously. He's great within Stotts offense as a passing big. Issue is PF and backup PF.
By DY_nasty Go To Postis it really good value though? dude is just a sane morris twin. people have an infatuation with likeable tweenersfor an 8th man? yeah he aiight... but for an untouchable asset? he pretty piss poor
By Tea Go To PostIt's more commentary on how when Dy shit talks players they play better or get more green.the last thing you want is to give Moe more money
I honestly don't see who's available for Portland at C. There's far more pressing needs before Plumlee is in the consideration. I'm not saying he's untradeable, but the league isn't built on power-house Cs anymore. Look at Detroit and Denver and the Kings. Loaded at that position but haven't done shit.
A good center like Golbert is transformational but he doesn't provide as much impact if you lack the other pieces like Favors, Hayward, and Hill.

By blackace Go To Postthe last thing you want is to give Moe more moneyWho says we will? Other teams could see his value. I mean let's be real, we've seen tons of teams other than mine (cough Evan) give players crazy payouts for little more than "potential."

Moe just got extended to $40mil/4yr this summer. Are you guys under the impression he's gonna get a pay increase or something?
By reilo Go To PostMoe just got extended to $40mil/4yr this summer. Are you guys under the impression he's gonna get a pay increase or something? No, just that he's mediocre as hell and untradeable.
And no combination of crabbe, turner, harkless is gonna get you anything close to Noel lol

By etiolation Go To PostMy concern with Noel is his injury history. Guy is 22 yo and has Bill Walton's kneepads. That's all I was saying, too. Missed his entire rookie year to his left year injury and is now missing significant time for a surgery on the same knee. Nobody is saying the proposed people in these scenarios are untouchable. Noone. Was just saying why Portland's FO might not wanna do it, and it has nothing to do with perceived value of the players.
By DY_nasty Go To PostNo, just that he's mediocre as hell and untradeable.Who are you arguing with? I flat out said Portland wins that trade. I don't know why you keep throwing that at me like I said otherwise or even said that's what Portland could give up and get Noel.
And no combination of crabbe, turner, harkless is gonna get you anything close to Noel lol
By blackace Go To PostWe were just talking about Noel… that's the C/PF and Golbert has been REALLY good without Favors or Hill for large chunks of the season so far… but if you have other needs besides rebounding and D…Portland needs a PF that can play defense and be a reliable scorer. Talking C or wings isn't the issue. Maybe Noel can work next to Plumlee? It's a potentially odd fit. Unless you run with Aminu at PF and Noel at C? Seems a bit odd, too.
By reilo Go To PostWho are you arguing with? I flat out said Portland wins that trade. I don't know why you keep throwing that at me like I said otherwise or even said that's what Portland could give up and get Noel.because its not even a realistic trade and you're still 'gun-shy' about it lol
how you gonna stress about nerlens injuries and broke knees when you're waiting on ezeli's lack of talent and broke knees
I did a cat butt face when I learned we were getting Ezeli. Like can we not have knee or foot fucked dudes. Damnit.
By DY_nasty Go To Postbecause its not even a realistic trade and you're still 'gun-shy' about it lolYou're flat out not reading what I am saying. At all. Here, read this again:
how you gonna stress about nerlens injuries and broke knees when you're waiting on ezeli's lack of talent and broke knees
By reilo Go To PostI think Portland (read: not reilo, the front office) would be a bit gun-shy trading away a player that's been extremely healthy and fills a need (not the most pressing one, for sure) for an extremely talented defensive big that hasn't when they're waiting on Ezeli to get healthy. I think Portland wins that trade, but I don't see them doing it out of those concerns.Again, I was offering an assessment of what the Portland FO might think of that trade, not what I thought of it. So I don't know why you're arguing with me like I even disagree. I flat out said Portland wins that trade.

By Tea Go To PostSo mad your team took on one of our injury prone players. XDI'll always love Batum for getting our team's offense out of the 90s but he's Charlie Brown in a basketball jersey
put some respek on frank the tank's game, reilo.. when he's on the floor.. assists are much more frequent.

Shit you are the one defending why they wouldn't give up a meh wing for Noel..
Portland needs a PF that can play defense and be a reliable scorer. Talking C or wings isn't the issue. Maybe Noel can work next to Plumlee? It's a potentially odd fit. Unless you run with Aminu at PF and Noel at C? Seems a bit odd, too.
Portland is dead last on defense.. and damn near the bottom on TR per game as a team.. If Miles had to sit the bench for Noel, and at times they played Noel at the PF together I am sure Dame and CJ can find the extra shots somewhere..
By pilonv1 Go To Postsomeone's career is ending tonight
lol
By Tea Go To PostAlways wondered about the places that are also rinks and how that can affect shit. Now I know. That's just a shit arena and setup. Charlotte has had a minor league hockey team finish playing hours before NBA tip-offs before. Rodeos too.
By blackace Go To PostShit you are the one defending why they wouldn't give up a meh wing for Noel..Offering an assessment of why it might not happen isn't the same as defending it for not happening especially when I said Portland would win such a trade from the get-go. DY just can't read.

If Miles had to sit the bench for Noel, and at times they played Noel at the PF together I am sure Dame and CJ can find the extra shots somewhere..Mason, not Miles. There's plenty of trash Plumlees, but only one that can actually play. Like, I am all for getting Noel but I haven't heard what the next phase was in this if you're also saying Plumlee needs to go. Who are you replacing him with? Realistically?

One of the M. Miles.. You know I meant the one your team.. Personally I would sit Mason not Miles Plumlee and start Noel along Aminu and at times have Noel and Mason not Miles play together..
By pilonv1 Go To Postyeah fuck that.
lol
I think it happened to a preseason game in San Diego.
players were slipping and sliding like it was the Ice Capades
By blackace Go To Postsomeone's career is ending tonight
Same twitter feed says they may cancel the game, has happened before
By blackace Go To PostOne of the M. Miles.. You know I meant the one your team.. Personally I would sit Mason not Miles Plumlee and start Noel along Aminu and at times have Noel and Mason not Miles play together..I think that would work if Aminu can get back to being an average 3pt shooter like he was last season. Aminu's jumpshot is pretty trash though, but they could make up for it as a very good defensive swiss-army knife. Very long and mobile front, maybe a little undersized but those matchups matter less in today's NBA.
