By pilonv1 Go To PostThat's the worst sort of "defense", Thibs must be disgustedAmare type stuff out of your PG
By pilonv1 Go To Postp. sure Klay was guarding Kobe when he tore his achilliesMust be Klay's fault he tore it then.
By reilo Go To PostWait, we're really gonna accept that D'Antoni was at fault for Kobe's minutes and his achilles injury? bruhhhhh
And I am irrational? lmao
"Can't or won't."
If you're scared to coach Kobe you shouldn't have taken the job. So yes, it's a managers fault when his employees do self-destructive shit that he can't find a way to put a stop to.
Phil Jackson wrote a book about how much of an uncontrollable ass Kobe is, and Phil Jackson coached Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, and Shaq. But D'Antoni is supposed to reign him in? aight
By reilo Go To PostRudy was never the same after Ariza's attempted murder. He had to get back surgery (herniated disc) because of it. I think he re-injured his back after he got traded from Portland. He didn't get along with Karl also.. He could have been good.. but when you come into NBA trying to shit on or undermine your coach you aren't going to get much love.. You kinda have to toe the line a bit right? He left because nobody would make him a starter.. He started a few games but didn't impress Nate nor Karl it seems..
He also averaged 10ppg on 43% and 40% on three (5 attempts, phew) in 25mpg his rookie year. He's an obvious choice to be a starter if Brandon Roy is hurt. Pretty sure he got traded cause him and Nate didn't get along, too. I loved watching rookie Rudy play. Was pretty bummed he didn't work it out.

What is "that happened 10 years prior" Alex?
By diehard Go To PostThis old Blazers discussion is really baffling.who is your kobe, diehard?
By DY_nasty Go To Postwho is your kobe, diehard?
That's easy. Stockton and Malone.
Even though Malone was unclutch as fuck
How come 34 year old Jordan played 39mpg in 82 games under Phil? Or 31 year old Pippen? Or 31 year old Shaq at 37mpg? Why didn't Phil limit their minutes?
By DY_nasty Go To Postwho is your kobe, diehard?Deron Williams duh!
And for the record, my Kobe is Brandon Roy. Although it's probably gonna end up being Damian by the time it's all said and done. Love me Arvydas, too, and an obvious soft spot for Drazen.
Andris Biedrins tho.
What is who is your Kobe supposed to even mean? The player you stan for life regardless of how stupid or shit they were at times?

By Moris Go To PostI don't rate Nurkic or Jokic anywhere near top 3 in their draft class.Agreed
Top 3 for Nurkic in 2014 is a tough sell for me as well. I like his game though.
Wiggins, Embiid (if he stays healthy), LaVine, Hood are all clearly better. I'll even take Randle, but maybe not longterm. Saric might end up being better longterm, too.

Why is Portland's actual Kobe, Clyde Drexler, not in this post?

Jokic averages 4 assists per 36 minutes while being a good interior scorer and showing shooting potential.
The Nuggets roster is fucked up by them having both Nurkic and Jokic, but Jokic is going to be a great player.

By livefromkyoto Go To PostWhy is Portland's actual Kobe, Clyde Drexler, not in this post?I was living in Europe at the time he played for the Blazers? I didn't really watch many older Blazers games unless they were on NBA TV classics. You kinda have a steady diet of Jordan at the time and that's about it.
By shun Go To PostBy your list you're telling me that Julius Randle is better than Jabari Parker? Really?Forgot about Parker. Haven't seen him play this year.
By diehard Go To PostBetter than Randle.
His game will never work in the playoffs against a good halfcourt defense.
We'd have to make the playoffs first. His game didn't translate to the NBA til it did for some reason.
By Moris Go To PostWe'd have to make the playoffs first. His game didn't translate to the NBA til it did for some reason. His defense still hasn't and probably never will. Dude can't shoot yet either.
He's only slightly less dumb thanks to the leadership of Lou Will and Swaggy P
By DY_nasty Go To PostSteph is getting wrecked by Dennis on both ends.
pilon pls
forgetting that Bogut is gone
By pilonv1 Go To Postforgetting that Bogut is goneall bogut would be doing is picking up fouls because steph can't even stay in front of dude
Randle better than Jokic and Nurkic?

millsap needs help
By reilo Go To PostIs Frank a 2014 draftee?just puttin my boy's name out there
By reilo Go To PostMillsap on the Blazers would be a god dream. It would be everything.
If the Dubs didn't get Durant he would have been perfect.

Per 36?
Randle's Per 36: 17 10 5
By DY_nasty Go To PostI just wonder who gets Favors. Will he ever make the leap?
By reilo Go To PostWill he ever make the leap? What leap does he need to make? He could not get better than he is now and still help a lot of teams. Boston and Toronto would roll out the red carpet for him.
Favors has averaged 16-8 in the last two years (at a the slowest pace in the league and having no PG) while being maybe the best defensive PF other than Draymond and Millsap.
I think he's made it.
