Carmelo Anthony on his game-winner in overtime after missing a potential game-winner at the end of regulation: "Well, honestly, I wanted that shot. I wanted that moment to be honest with you. I felt like I had an opportunity to close it in regulation and in overtime I did want that situation." He added that he would have passed on the possession if he saw someone open.💀

Good win, Portland. Needed it.
By reilo Go To PostMason Plumlee is such a good passer, damn.Hey that's "PLUMBEAST" to you
Didn't get to watch the game. Sounded like a mix of suboptimal player rotations, fuck Cousins from the refs, Rox putting up a record number of threes and Boogie trying to save the game late with splash Cousins mode.
Kp should be fresh since he sat alot yesterday, hopefully he has a better game tonight. Charlotte doesn't really have anyone to guard him.

Thibs reminds me in some respects of Rick Adelman. Tyus is clearly better than Dunn, but he stubbornly keeps playing Dunn because ... of draft status, I guess? He doesn't want to look bad? Adelman used to do that stuff all the time. Like his weird love of guys like Robbie Hummel.
I'm glad Tyus came through in the run he got last night. Hopefully he can get on the court tonight.

Our main lineup (Hill, Hood, Hayward, Favors, Gobert) has played 12 minutes this season. 12 minutes over 17 games.
So far into this season, we have 11 (eleven!) players averaging 25PPG+. Last season we had 6 total. In 2014-15 we had 3 total. I wonder who will drop below the 25PPG mark by season's end?

Who are the 11?

That's a pretty good list. Probably Butler and isiah are he most likely to drop off.
I could see Wade taking over games more often as the season goes on and I just don't think IT is that good to sustain this for 82 games.
Probably Kawhi too, just because he's barely over as it is and system basketball tends to spread the wealth around.
Only 3 players on that list play in the East: Thomas, Derozan and Butler
3 players on that list used to play on the same team, too. Shoutout to Gondo.

Given that he had (statistically) a better season in 2016 than in 2015, but finished second in 2015 in MVP, First Team All-NBA and nowhere close in either in 2016, I'd say poor.

I'd guess the same thing probably happens this year, too. But I'm skeptical that guys that like Gordon and Anderson can actually play an entire year and they rely on them.

Because there's a difference between 2nd Place and 8th Place. Ask Steve Nash.
Yea, I mean, that's my point. I'd be shocked if it was Westbrook or Davis at the top, either. It might actually turn out to be Derozan lol
Oh look, Stern is still a bully and a shitty human being:
Stern was joined on the panel by Sunil Gulati, the president of US Soccer, and both men criticized Colin Kaepernick for his decision to kneel during national anthem as a protest against injustice in the US. Stern suspended NBA player Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf for a similar protest in 1996, but said Kaepernick’s case was different because he had the permission of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, and because president Obama said he had a constitutional right to speak out.And Stern is wrong. Kaepernick works for a California franchise, he is protected by state law:
“Wrong!” Stern exclaimed. “He has the rights his union collectively bargained for him, but I guess Obama didn’t take a class in labor law.”
