Difference is that Lilliard slid under Collison who had a right to that space on the floor. The ball was ahead of both and neither was closer at the time.
Tougher than I wanted it but I'll take the W. Always fun watching a few dynamic scorers drop 30+ each (36 from Dame, 31 from CJ, 33 from Cousins). Gay finished with 29 as well. Crowd got their moneys worth on that aspect.

BTW, I don't think the Kings need to blow it up like the narrative suggests. I think they're a little off against a tough schedule and need some tweaks. Lawson has become worse as the season has gone on and I think it's evident that Collison is far better.

And they've been BAD at the draft.
I don't think Gay and DMC are a good pairing. Both of them excel in one-on-one play, and Gay is such a blackhole offensively that they basically take turns playing ISO-ball. Joerger has a tough job ahead of him. Their guard situation in general is pretty fucked, too.
The team has been very bad at drafting*. Their main prob is that they have had two owners, three GMs and several coaches and none of them understood the PG spot. They've passed on Curry, Rubio, Lawson, Lilliard and CJ. They draft an all-star PG by accident and send him packing because PDA hated him for some reason while Malone loved him. (And Malone loving him made PDA hate Thomas even more.)
The thing they lack most right now is a complementary PF and a off-the-dribble shooter.
*WCS can still be good. He's too gifted a defender not to be so. It just takes bigs longer to adjust unless they're Cousins/AD/KAT level.
