By P.SY! Go To PostIs Dipo is better than Beal?Beal has a really great kit. Can shoot, can get to the rim, ok passer, not a black hole. But is severely bitch made, just shrinks with any spotlight on him at all. And is injury prone.
Not a shot at either but what is the consensus?
Dipo hasn't seen the spotlight yet, but is more athletic and t he much better defender.
By giririsss Go To PostThey've got good defenders at other spots. But their only big that can defend at all is Adams. And he's the core of it, your big is always the core of it.Big being the core is obvious but I'm not so sure they've good defenders at other spots at all. There's a reason their games were often point heavy.

YNB's defense is very hit and miss.
They are really relying on Ilyasova to find his old form again too. Really heavily relying on it. I mean there was a period in time where he looked like the best stretch 4 i nthe game. Solid D, great 3pt %, good rebounder.
Then he got injured / uninterested and lost all form. For 4 years.

I like Brad better because he fits better in most lineups.
They both need to show more this year. I think this will be the year Brad makes the jump for real though.
Yeah, we're taking risks. Don't really have any choice but to as we try to reconfigure after the loss of Durant.
The roster is quite ill-fitting in spots, which is why I think another trade is very likely this season. Our SF rotation is among the worst in the league and we have a glut of bigs.

By Dark PhaZe Go To Postwow rekt by real madridwell didn't Russ just extend for 4 years?
I don't know much, but I do know that I can promise you that the Oladipo and Westbrook pairing is gonna be shit
If Presti had any sense he'd be looking to move Oladipo by the deadline–the fit is bad enough that Ynot might look to go elsewhere in the future imo
By KingGondo Go To PostYeah, we're taking risks. Don't really have any choice but to as we try to reconfigure after the loss of Durant.your roster is put together poorly... even if you resigned KD it would have been an ugly roster plus Russ / KD

By P.SY! Go To PostIs Dipo is better than Beal?Victor is available to play far more often. I don't think there is enough talent difference to make that up.

I know it has already been said but NBA.com's new website is godawful.
IDK how they have managed to make every new iteration worse then the last one.
It's like someone saw that old cluttered internet browser meme and thought that was a good template for a website.

I've seen it happening with some sites tbh. They took the "we want less clicks" and "it should look good on a tablet" mindsets to their most extreme. They forget about content hierarchy, consistent margins and why people would visit their site before all others. At some point it doesn't matter that users do less clicking on your site if they're just leaving due to being overwhelmed by content and terribly organized content at that. Like honestly what would you guys visit the nba.com website for? Do they know their audience? I'd go there if it was an actual decent news/injury/stats aggregate for all the teams but so many other sites are better.
By domino Go To PostThe only thing I go to the NBA site for was the highlights/video and the NBAStore if that counts.Totally counts. That should really just be the focus but whatever.
Used NBA.com for schedules and standings, use ESPN app for that these days. Still think there's room for it to be done much better somewhere else.
At least they moved on from Flash videos and most flash. Something that a lot of other sites can't say.

I had the games section favorited and I could click it, see the scores in one second, click my game and see the boxscore.
For a while they actually had a nice user friendly game tracker where you got an interactive court and could see where players took shots and some advanced metrics on the fly. Lost that years ago though.
Heres one i just ran into though. I click a players name in a boxscore. I get brought to their stat page in the new design that only gives very simple stats. If I want the advanced stats there is no link, Instead you have to go on a wild goose chase. Click the stats at the top of the page to get to the analytics site. Try the obvious method of going into the directory and you just get taken back to the main site and simple stat page. You have to use the search toolbar, last name, comma, first name in order to get your players analytics page.
Luckily, the only interacting I have to do with the new NBA.com is to order League Pass and then I'll just be using my Xbox for the actual streaming. Yuck.
The fucking times are off and i thought all the games were early today cause it says ET next to it all
By shun Go To PostAt least they moved on from Flash videos and most flash. Something that a lot of other sites can't say.Why is there just a huge rectangle of white on the right, is that where an ad is or something? Ads on site services you pay for or companies that are making bank is just so insulting.

By shun Go To PostI turned off adblock and it's still just there I don't know. It is dumb too.All the team pages are just "so much shit" with no real content hierarchy, space or ways to break up the monotony just blocks of crap. All the same framework because lol NBA. Blazers tried, and it looks better than most other teams but it's still just packed to shit.
make a list of things you want in a new nba website. I want to take a stab at the main home page with a mockup.
Top whatever of the week highlight reels, aggregate of stats/standings for the whole league, tv schedules, injury reports, trends. If they actually had decent analysts a spot where I can just have all their twitter feeds together or whatever.
The NBA.com site is just confused about what they're trying to be.
current scores, scheduled games, at the top linking to more detailed stuff (game tracker / box scores)
News & Highlights under neath.
Social media stuff below that. Or if you must, a Twitter feed on one of the sides.

Now they got a big ass photo like my mockup does. Hmmm.
But it takes up too much space and the caption is below the fold, at least on this res.

Why am I watching a pre-season game between two teams I don't care about or even have betting interests in. *sigh*
2 years... in 2014??? Top 5 PG??? Hell no.
Rondo maybe have that shit like 5 or 6 years ago when the Celtics were worth anything, but 2014? Where there were so many good point guards out there? NOPE.

Bob Cooney of the Philadelphia Daily News on 97.5 The Fanatic:
I just got off the phone with somebody who I really trust in the NBA, and he’s like there’s no way his agent is going to let him play this year. That’s an injury that you don’t mess around with, and he thinks he’s going to keep him off his feet all year.
