By blackace Go To PostI mean shit they traded that young scrub for Kevin Martin!! What more do you want KD???Then Kevin Martin became air.
Well, a trade exception they never used because their owner is cheap as hell.
don't know that I believe that article--too lazy and too easy to write that, I think there's some smoke to there being some issues with LMA but I don't think it would be over the same issue as Portland

Low key guy like LMA getting jealous of a young rising star again wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. I thought it was hard to believe in Portland but it wasn't just one person saying it.
He wants to be treated like the franchise guy while not quite being that good.
How is durant so dumb with these comments. Like just say you are in a different situation and you are moving on
By Moris Go To PostBut wait, there's more!
Why is he like this?
When Aldridge opted to sign with the Spurs, he was led to believe he’d be the future of the franchise in much the way Tim Duncan took the mantle from David Robinson. The belief was that Aldridge would spend a year learning the “Spurs’ way” and would then lead the team forward with Kawhi Leonard as his wingman.http://www.basketballinsiders.com/is-the-clock-ticking-on-aldridge-spurs-maybe-not/
That was the plan as Aldridge’s camp understood it. That is not how it’s playing out. Leonard has emerged as the better fit as “the franchise player” and Aldridge is being pushed into the No. 2 role (and sometimes No. 3) depending on how the Spurs play. Leonard finished second in Most Valuable Player voting last season.
This has become a source of frustration, mainly because the Spurs are not going to be the championship contender Aldridge thought he was joining and he won’t be the focal-point guy who becomes an All-Star. The other part, according to those around the situation, is that Gregg Popovich isn’t coddling him or treating him like the primary guy. Not that Aldridge requires that, but it’s becoming clear that he may not be the guy the Spurs thought he’d be.
If he only had another All-Star to play with that was okay with being the #2 option on offense. It's too bad that the guy had billboards and a nice shoe deal.
Let's be fair--LMA watched his whole squad die around him in Portland. Jealousy is the most advertised reason for the breakup but it's really hard to hold onto stars after their second extension these days, as we've seen with pretty much everyone besides Wade/Kobe/Dirk/Duncan.
edit: first extension*

Yeah can't believe that piece, too bs of a story. Kawhi was groomed as the franchise guy before the Spurs blew the Heat away in the Finals. Pop ain't one to BS either.

It's now Roy, Damian, and Kawhi. And you can't say it's organizational ineptitude given that he's doing the same shit under Pop/Spurs.

Pop ain't one to BS either.Patently false given that every report before the decision to sign with the Spurs was of Pop telling LMA that he'd get the touches he got in Portland. And every report today is saying the same thing.

By Tea Go To PostShit died because it was obvious Aldridge was jumping ship. And yea let's not discount the fact that LMA was completely checked out once the playoffs came around. Portland needed him to step up and instead he just felt like being anywhere else. But somehow that's not his fault?
By reilo Go To PostAnd yea let's not discount the fact that LMA was completely checked out once the playoffs came around. Portland needed him to step up and instead he just felt like being anywhere else. But somehow that's not his fault? We joke about how much that .9 shot did to the Rockets but it also did something to Aldridge. Which is sad because he has a great playoff performance that year too. Then 2014-2015 he got envious and spiteful all the more. What's fucked up is the dude never wanted to step up much but then gets pissy Dame did. Dudes a punk.
Fair. I was mostly talking about how that year the chemistry was off, we could tell well before playoffs then LMA is all "bye" and it suddenly made sense.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Posthey I never said portland was inept, I was mostly talking about the injury luckIt wasn't directed at you but the hot take when he left was that he wanted to go to an org that has their shit together, so to speak. If the Spurs can't manage his ego, then who can?
LMA is prob the most passive aggressive dude in bball right now.
He obviously wanted to be THE franchise player on a winning squad and history just didn't work out that way. Yet he's still chasing phantoms.

Eh. He's saying what we all said too.
Gondo can harp on about how they also got vets. But Nick Collison, Anthony Morrow and Novak aren't David West or Ray Allen.
Yeah, the thunder got "vets" but never vets that contribute all around. Never those ex-allstars.
I mean, Caron Buttler may be the best "vet" they got.
Compare that to the Spurs... David West, Diaw, Andre Miller, Pau....

Highly unlikely, but if anyone is in NOLA during a Pels game, let me know. I usually have an extra ticket. My seats are in the lower part of the balcony but aligned with half court, so you get a tv like angle. I love the view. Would be better if I could get lower, but prices jump exponentially for that.

By Moris Go To PostSee now we're gonna have to fightI think Klay could have a better LOOKING stat sheet. (More efficient, better 3pt, takes less 50/50 mid range shots)
But Klay aint ever going to be Kobe or on that level.
thought he was about to cut a big check early on but some things seriously went in the way of the defense in the last two weeks
By rodeoclown Go To PostI can't believe they called Derrick Rose a star.they did preface with knicks though.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Postwonder if she has to pay the court feesI know in AU it comes down to the judge and typically he would only award it to the defense if it was frivilous, and in AU, he has the option of only award "standards" based costs. Not your actual. (I.e. a typical barister may charge a rate of $75 per hour, but if you hire someone costing $500 per hour it's your prerogative and you have to pay the difference your self.).
also remember the Lead Detective in the Derrick rose case was found dead in her home weeks ago.
coincidence?

Russell Westbrook and Nick Collison met with Kevin Durant in West Hollywood shortly before the start of free agency.Lee Jenkins.
Westbrook asked Durant what he could do and how he could change. Durant was set to meet with several teams during the first few days of July.
“He went above and beyond,” Collison said.
Westbrook also offered to fly to the Hamptons where Durant would meet with teams.
Westbrook received a text from Durant on July 4th that he was going to sign with the Golden State Warriors. Westbrook played dominoes with longtime friends like Donnell Beverly that day.
“He didn’t talk much about what happened,” said Beverly.
Westbrook posted a bittersweet photo on Instagram of three plates of cupcakes with a "HAPPY 4th YALL…" caption.
When Kendrick Perkins played for the Thunder he called teammates "cupcake" if he thought they were acting a little soft and the term was playfully adopted by Durant and Westbrook.
“This is professional sports,” Westbrook said. “You have to live with it. I just continued about my day.”
Beverly turned the topic to Oklahoma City as the day went on.
“I like my team,” Westbrook told him. “I still really like my team.”
“I don’t know if Russ was hurt,” said Steven Adams, “because he’d never tell me, and he’d definitely never tell you.”

By Kabro Go To Postare you too young to remember that the LAPD has had several corruption scandals in the past?Aren't you too old to be reading too much into a suicide?
By Tea Go To PostSlut shaming tactics gonna stay the precedent for these defense attorneys.
Plaintiffs withheld information (more than what was published online) that pissed the judge off where he actually considered throwing away the case as a mistrial when prompted by the defense. Also, the roommate's testimony provided a lot of fire and helped the defense a lot. Furthermore, Derrick Rose and his two friends had additional texts provided. There were three things that really swung the direction in favor of Rose's camp.
Lastly, seeing as how the jurors went into deliberation only last night and concluded the following business day? There was nothing there that caused a hung jury or impeding juror to slow the process down. That was a very quick decision. Whatever was shared in court (which was obviously sealed and not allowed to be publicized) made this a very easy decision for them.
Also explains why Rose's camp said they wouldn't settle this case even for $1 and that it was a pure extortion case, which her ex-roommate corroborated too.
