I mean Luke's System is essential Golden State's, but D'angelo really drank that Kool-aid.
he's embraced Curry's role. lol

Kyle Singler was the highest scorer of his team tonight, was running point and fastbreak, have a higher shooting percentage than YNB and Dipo.
KD gone now it is Ready for that first option Singler.

He was coming off two incredibly hot games and went super cold here. Maybe 4 or5 shots were forced. He was open a lot and just missed.
D'Angelo showing out but like
huge grain of salt, he ain't seen one team defense yet. LA was playing from behind his whole rookie year too - dude really hasn't even been tested in the slightest. hell, even going back to college the same question marks are still there

By diehard Go To PostI'm glad the Jalen & Jacoby show is on. It gives me the dose of hate im looking for.Don't know if i can deal with Jalen with out Simmons. Simmons stupid / ridiculous stopped Jalen from just hating on everything after the 90's.
Few times i've caught J&J it's been.... tough to get through.

Rockets hold Pelicans to 14 in a quarter. Don't think that'll be happening too often in the season proper.
And now Anderson is playing the 5. With Motiejunas unsigned, Capela being fragile and Nene being old, I'm not feeling good about our big man situation.. Dekker's looked alright (at the 4), but I thought he was a 3.

Pels getting rocked this morning. Of course, by the time I tuned in, I saw them using a lineup of Cook, Hill, Dawson, Diallo, and another guard or forward that I can't remember the name of. AD apparently tweaked an ankle and won't return. Something happened to Moore and he won't return either, according to the broadcast.
e: This lineup was going up against Harden, Ariza, Anderson, and two others I didn't bother to notice.

By blackace Go To PostPelicans are just badAfter the commentators confirmed Davis wouldn't be coming back, I've sort of been in two minds. On the one hand, their injuries should mean that Harden, Gordon, Ariza, Anderson and Nene shouldn't play any more minutes (I'd personally like to see Ennis, Payton, McDaniels, Dekker and Harrell a bit more). On the other, this game's being played in Beijing, not Houston.

By vic Go To PostAGAIN?!Moore got injured somehow, too. Everyone who is/was expected to play major minutes for this team has always missed 20 games minimum the last few seasons. They are on their third medical staff, iirc, since the season or two before Benson took over as owner.

which mind is the one bragging about how they held a team that was worse than the Beijing Ducks to 14 points in the 4th?
By vic Go To PostAGAIN?!He left the Shanghai game after 5 fouls sometime in the second. He left midway through the first here after slipping on some sweat. Think it was just precautionary.
Since I posted, Rockets have gone with Bobby Brown, Payton, Dekker, Wiltjer and Onuaku. Only Dekker seems multidimensional enough to escape the D-League. Harrell leaves and the Pelis mount a comeback, haha. Like his energy, if nothing else.

Think it was just precautionary. He was only supposed to be playing 18 mpg during these games in China, regardless. The injury already is still annoying.

Yesssss!!!! Onuaku is shooting his free throws underhanded. Nothing but net on both attempts.
Onuaku 2/2 from the line. Nice.
It's the same with seeing Nene, Anderson and Gordon on the floor at the same time. Happy to see it, even in preseason, since it's probably not going to last very long.
Edit: Single digits. Smh

My mind just knows that come the regular season, the amount of times teams will pile on 30+ points on us in a quarter is likely to be (many times) more than when we limit them to less than 15.

Ankle should be right for the start of the season, and hopefully he's right for the rest of it.

Ahhha, apparently the injury to Moore is a right heel contusion. I mean... what? That's a first for me!
Pelicans big man Anthony Davis expected to be out 10-15 days after suffering a Grade 2 ankle sprain in Beijing, source told @TheUndefeated.

Glad I don't have problems with catching games. Time Warner is the devil but I can watch every game at home or on my phone or PC. They don't support PS4 which sucks but hey.
By Moris Go To PostGlad I don't have problems with catching games. Time Warner is the devil but I can watch every game at home or on my phone or PC. They don't support PS4 which sucks but hey.My cable provider does not carry NBATV, even on their extended sports packages, so I can't watch games that are only broadcast there, even if I buy League Pass Broadband, because of blackouts. My cable provider is also my ISP and I refuse to drop their internet because it is much more stable and reliable than any national one.
Maybe I should look into dropping cable from this company and get it from another while keeping my ISP. I wonder how much more it would cost...

For two decades, NBA ref Bill Kennedy was hiding in plain sight – watched by millions but never truly seen. Then came the biggest game-changer of his life, the call he had to make.
Those who accompany Kennedy around Phoenix, or on the road when he's officiating in the NBA's other 27 metro areas, say his karaoke camouflage routine isn't unusual. Sometimes he'll hide behind a pillar or stroll down a corridor away from the main singing area. "He's on a big stage often enough and doesn't need karaoke claps to make him happy," says Marc Davis, who dated Kennedy for two years after they met in 1999, before the two settled into a close 15-year friendship. "But throw a hot guy into the mix and then, yeah, he can be onstage in a heartbeat."
Like most referees at the big league level, Kennedy doesn't seek the spotlight, but it found him last December, when he publicly declared his sexual identity as a gay man a few days after the league suspended Rajon Rondo for calling Kennedy a "motherfucking faggot." Though NBA staff, fellow officials and numerous players and coaches have known for years that Kennedy is gay, the announcement instantly made him a public figure. Kennedy issued a brief statement on Dec. 13, telling Yahoo Sports, "I am proud to be an NBA referee, and I am proud to be a gay man. I am following in the footsteps of others who have self-identified in the hopes that will send a message to young men and women in sports that you must allow no one to make you feel ashamed of who you are."http://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/17764735/nba-referee-bill-kennedy-long-coming-story
For the next half an hour, Dustin and Kennedy get acquainted. And this kid with a thick drawl, a straw hat, a Western double-pocketed shirt, light tan boots and a belay with keys hanging from a jeans belt loop who just rode an actual bull at an actual rodeo for a solid 7.772 seconds before falling off? He tells Kennedy he was the best man at his gay cousin's wedding. And that statement of Kennedy's? It blew Dustin away.
"I'm so happy that you were proud of who you are," Dustin says. "So many people are hiding."
