lol.
Like Wooden said, it's just not very interesting so far. Characters aren't interesting. The most interesting character is a total cliche.
By Woodenpapangus Go To PostIt's not that they don't answer the questions. It's that the questions aren't interesting and nothing really is.I like to know where this is going.
By GQman2121 Go To PostEpisode two didn't explain shit. They take their time explaining things is good.
How the fuck do they get in and out of the park?
How do the storylines for the hosts reset and are there more than one version of the same host?
They keep piling on the questions without providing even a hint of what anything means or what's going on.
If they're showing multiple time lines at once, that's fucking dumb and I hope the show gets Vinyl'd.
I don't need another GOT esque series where it's 60% of expositions.
They've shown how everyone gets in and out of the park. The staff and hosts use elevators, the guests use the trains.
As for the resets, got to assume everybody's trip lasts the same length of time. I doubt there is more than one version of a host or they wouldn't have replaced Dolores father with another host for example.

90% of this show is exposition.
The other 10% is the same scenes over and over.
The timeline on the hosts and guests is a bit suspect, but that's more due to the stories (the show stories, not the park stories) with different characters running at different speeds. Guests can do anything to them, including hacking them to pieces, so if there aren't multiple copies, it doesn't seem that the job of cleaning them up, restoring them, erasing and rebooting, etc. can be done that fast, but the way the show is edited between different perspectives gives you the idea that either a few days or a few full weeks have passed, making it tricky to understand the timeline.
The way they are playing some of the details reminds me of the worst parts of Homeland. Homeland abused a style in which it made the audience believe they were figuring out details at a faster pace than the characters, only to reveal later on that the characters found out this shit just as fast and in fact knew more about it than they were letting on. Of course Homeland crapped the bed really fast, so I just hope this show doesn't do the same thing.
That's a bit unfair. The same scenes over and over where a few details change, like Yurt said, transforming those characters and what we understand about them.

To each his own and everything. What I dont get is people who actively enjoy hating on WEEKLY shows 😂 is your time really that cheap? Dump it and move on to other shows that cater to your taste! Sometimes the flaws are not obvious to simple-minded folks like yours truly, God forbid we enjoy something 💀
I've dropped many legit goat shows because I felt like I was wasting my time waiting for them to *click*. Two were consistently on top 5 lists, like, I do appreciate the whole package and how well made it is, but it just isn't my cup of tea.
Spat it out and moved on.

Every fact, detail, plot, twist and fucking turn.I just won't watch until all the episodes have run. That way I can fast forward past all the park nonsense that isn't interesting because they're not giving me a reason in three hours to care about anything that happens because for all we know at this point they'll just change what they've shown.
God forbid you have any intriguing questions. I just want to get spoon fed.
I'm just asking for something to add up and make sense at this point. One thing to make me give a shit after three hours.
Well I did that with Dexter. Eventually I did hit my limit, and stopped watching it, but for at least two season I watched it and complained. Tuned in to watch the ending episode, and my God, that is even worse than the whole Entourage ending.
It's just hard when you actually at one point did enjoy the show, to just stop again. Some desperate hope it will stop being shit.

I rewatched Entourage a couple of months ago and while the first few seasons are still class... I cannot remember what happens at the end already.
can we at least all agree that Ash vs Evil Dead is brilliant

I don't remember what happens at the very end either. I just remember them talking about how they were going to stop with it being so dramatic and such, just to have one of the last episode end, with a guy killing himself lol. It was bad and uncool. Also Vincent is a terrible actor. But Johnny Drama is a God.

By hixx Go To PostThey've shown how everyone gets in and out of the park. The staff and hosts use elevators, the guests use the trains. So you're of the belief that there are multiple time lines going on concurrently? That's the only thing that makes sense thus far and if that's the twist come episode 10, then the reveal of what Ed Harris is up to; who he is; why his interactions with hosts differ from other visitors; and the explanation of what the park administration can and cannot see/do from their eye in the sky view better be amazing.
As for the resets, got to assume everybody's trip lasts the same length of time. I doubt there is more than one version of a host or they wouldn't have replaced Dolores father with another host for example.
And if the time line theory is true then McPoyle is obviously present day Ed Harris. Though that doesn't explain the changes to Delores or the other hosts who they've shown in the park with time lines that would overlap.
Also, Entourage ended with literally everyone being happy ever after. I didn't see the movie.

Kimo, baby, what are you talking about?
the park(storyline) is all a one day thing with multiple events going on, or a certain amount of fixed days.
think of it as Majora's Mask.
MIB appeared to multiple characters in a flashback/old scrapped storylines
remember Hopkins speech about guests even coming back for repeat experiences and how they feel special for noticing 'little details' they missed on their first run
they're basically doing an interactive play, except the robots dont know they're acting.

I doubt it. While I am not sure about TMIB's timeline the end of the latest episode doesn't really fit with that theory. If TMIB is'future' William, why did Dolores see TMIB's face when Trevor from GTA was going to rape her, then shoot 'him' before moving to find present-day William?
Still can't believe season 3 of twin peaks is actually happening and coming in the near future

What doesn't add up are the conversions with the hosts that Bernard has and then their seemingly reaction to those conversations back in the park.
We've seen Dolores wake up half a dozen times now. At the end of the second episode she wakes up, goes downstairs, talks to her father and then kills a fly on her neck after we're shown a conversation she's had with Bernard saying she wouldn't hurt a fly. We obviously don't know the time line of those events but it's very clearly intentional that the AI is either lying or learning of the world they live in. But why does that matter?
And that's overlooking how Bernard's getting her in and out of the park to have these conversations in private without anyone noticing. We know you have to physically enter the park to remove the hosts. Is he doing that? What?
And regarding MIB: why did McPoyle get shot and feel something and Ed Harris didn't flinch when Teddy shot him in the pilot?
I'm just trying to find one fucking thing that gives anything that they've shown any meaning whatsoever. It's all complete nonsense at this point because no one can coherently comment on any one thing.
I'll stop now.

Ed Harris and Anthony Hopkins are the two players that seem to know more than they've shown. But they should hurry up and show something that brings at least a few of these things together in some meaningful way.
Now I'll stop. I'm sorry.
