My thoughts on luke cage;
Coming off of narcos season 2 which may be top three seasons of all time television luke cages weak points are amplifie. However it does a lot well, stylish, the tone of Harlem, the sound track the supporting characters, and the current social notes are great. But Luke himself is pretty shit and where Jessica jones can get away with having incredibly average action scenes I don't get why they're so bad in Luke cage especially when there are more of them. It's like they wanted to go all the wire without having anywhere near the depth of characters or quality of writing. Some of the character archs are just terrible as well, I thoughtdiamond back maybe one of the worst characters in the marvel to shows yet although I thought she could have played the roll better Mariah arch was awesome.

this happened because companies like 2K, blizzard, activision, ea and bethesda saw they could get away with it when they priced their biggest titles at $60 on PC and weak willed cunts still bought them
I can't imagine paying more than £30 for any PC game, even for a AAA on release day. Luckily I don't have to.

Talking about Carnivale makes me want another show about good v evil and Heaven v Hell. Lucifer didn't do it for me.
What was so good about that show was that even the 'good' characters were morally ambiguous at times. Also the relationship between the sides being tied together in an almost incestuous knot was intriguing.

Dharma, time travel, smoke monster, good v evil, fucken polar bears. Carnivale was great because whilst the story was complex you always knew that the central theme or plat was good v evil.
Technically, LOST did that quite well too.
Preacher touches on the biblical stuff obviously, but that's more about a good man trying to do good in a shit world. Plus the show hasn't really got to the good stuff yet.

It's a good novel but with so much stuff packed in I don't know how they'll get to it all. It's basically what would happen if the gods weren't only real but also living amongst us. And they're all there from every culture and dead religion. Anubis, Tet, Thor, Krishna etc. It's makes an interesting point on immigration and what happens to a culture when it goes to a new land and assimilates with the natives. What happens to their gods then?

Haven't seen it yet but in a truly great show (The Wire) even a boring episode will provide more than enough for the detailed review. Some gestures here, a little word there.
