And Gossip Girl was hilarious in how absurd it was. I've seen every episode. They all end with some type of social gathering where one character confronts another about a lie that was told earlier in the episode or season. The show was basically about shitty people who would routinely lie to each other for no real reason other than to create drama. Chuck Bass was great though.
It's here we come.

I'm trying to make out what my actual favourite shows are but I have waaay too many! Maybe if I divide them into categories...
the only category I'm sure of is sitcoms, where Seinfeld still remains untouchable. Arrested Development maybe a distant second. I like Always Sunny but it's very hit and miss, sometimes I go through entire episodes with just a smirk.
I think LOST will never be mentioned in any top lists anytime soon :lol and it's a shame you know? It was such a happy memory watching it with friends and speculating about its nonsense week in week out <3
speaking of shames, it's a shame nobody remembers Carnivàle except for Clegg :( I highly HIGHLY recommend checking it out, it was an exhilarating trip from beginning to end. I know, I know, cancelled and all, but they actually managed to wrap up the main storyline! And quite nicely I might add.

Mauro Icardi’s ghostwriter insists the striker’s words were “read incorrectly” but reveals Inter “never asked anything”.
There was controversy this weekend after a passage in the Nerazzurri captain’s book recounted an argument with the Ultras, in which Icardi threatened to have hooligans from Argentina “kill them where they stood”.
That prompted calls for him to be stripped of the captaincy, but the Beneamata confirmed earlier today he would hold onto the armband.
“It was my idea to do the book, and Mauro and Wanda immediately liked it,” Paolo Fontanesi told Premium Sport.
“It’s true that Icardi is a 23-year-old, but people forget that his 23 years are like 40 for another person, he’s had a life full of incident.
“That’s where the idea came from, I never, ever thought it would create this much controversy.
“I won’t go into details, but I regret that these words have been read incorrectly. If it had been an interview yesterday, the Curva would have been right to react in that way.
“But a book has to be considered and interpreted, and above all put into the context of its timeframe.
“Mauro’s idea was this: ‘in the game I reacted like that, I was definitely wrong and I wanted to talk about that incident to say I wouldn’t make a mistake like that today’.
“He wanted to make it clear that it was a bad incident, he wanted to heal it.”
Much of the controversy could have been avoided if someone from Inter had actually read the book…
“No-one at Inter ever asked me for anything, and maybe that was a mistake by the club, but that’s not for me to say.
“I was never allowed to knock on Inter’s door to ask if those pages were OK.
“Now we’ll review those pages, I’m at the service of the captain. If he tells me to remove those pages then we’ll do it.”
Arsenal have one of the most lovable teams (team not fans) on the planet, and I'd hate to see him donning their shirt :)

Can't tell yet whether I'll be more or less disappointed with yesterday's result as the week goes on
We both should have won, if you know what I mean. On for one hand glad not to have been punished too badly for the non-performance, on the other annoyed that we didn't make Man Utd play particularly well
We didn't look great when Lallana came on, but he seemed to have a calming influence on the players behind him, which I wasn't expecting. Was an absolute shitshow of loose touches and passes before then.
Will depend on next week's result probably, drop points again and we've somewhat wasted the good start

A bad result is dropping points to Swansea (Chelsea), WBA (Spurs), Everton (City) and losing to Watford (United).

Think for both of us the way we perceive this result ultimately relies on what happens next weekend. For now it's merely ok.

cos Man Utd are shite and I'm disappointed after every home match we fail to win. Silly way to think about it since our home record is no better than away over the last couple of seasons, but still.

The pair of eps in the ghost town remains some of the best TV I've ever watched.
Need to marathon Seinfeld one of this days.
But my annual Scrubs marathon is long overdue. My favorite tv comedy by far.
It's hard to pick my all time favorites tbh, so Im gonna do the most recent most watchable in the last 5 years:
Justified
Veep
Brooklyn Nine Nine
Parks & Rec
Stranger Things
Chef's Table
Lovestruck (scrotal recall)
Bojack Horseman

LOST changed television, it was a proper event long before GoT became vogue and it will always be in my top list, of which I will construct soon.

You aren't asking me but the league trophy is gonna be more competitive than most years this time, so I'd personally be thrilled to make it into the top four. It's no trophy but it'd require us to do better than several very good teams.
The league isn't an impossibility, however. We've come out in 4th place ahead of Man Utd and Chelsea in the hardest opening string of fixtures in recent memory. Only one loss so far and it's starting to look more and more like a blip.
What the Man Utd game showed me more than anything is what Wijnaldum and Lallana offer isn't so easy to replace with our current squad. Can doesn't seem like the right player for our midfield, he takes too many touches and can't keep up. Similarly, Sturridge is looking out of place. Need to work out those areas, either by playing Grujic and Origi more or by buying well in January. I think Klopp knows exactly who he wants in Lallana and Wijnaldum's position (Dahoud next summer) but I don't know about another forward. We're after Pusilic apparently but that's gonna be a hard one to pull off.
By Hitch Go To PostCry and become insufferable to the point that everyone would put me on their ignore listit still kills me that Trezegol, Camoranesi and Nedved were not on the field with us in 2011-2012

but hey, at least Del Piero was
but Nedved can't complain too much, he's now our vice-president and David is....[insert some made up role to keep him around] :lol

Lallana is close to earning himself a spot in my avatar :P
Just found out we play West Brom at home next week, thought it was away. Much happier with that, no excuse for failing to win.
Don't know what to make of Can, and he's been here 2 years now. His only good work last night came around the Man Utd box, but his general play made me think he should only be used as a DM from now on if he's to be used at all. Maybe he can play well enough in cup matches and odd league appearances to take Wijnaldum's spot at some point, but if anything Wijnaldum and Lallana's absences yesterday only strengthened their positions in the team. He's had the dawdling on the ball and silly passes kicked out of him once, looks like it'll have to happen again. 2 or 3 passes last night looked like he was just throwing a leg at the ball and hoping it'd skew off in a favourable direction.

I'm not sure why Liverpool persisted with Henderson as the deepest midfielder and Can more forward, given that the two are probably more natural if they swapped.
I'm also not sure why Klopp didn't change the formation up and go with a 4-2-3-1 instead of the 4-3-3, which would seem more suited to Sturridge and the midfielders that were playing.
