By Oddinho Go To Postthe fullbacks are so crucial for how Pep's teams play football and there's no one out there even close to Dani Alves or Phillip Lahm. That's going to be the first area City invest big in I feel.
Moreno.

By Mr Cola Go To PostJesus id love to press like this :(Yep :(
By Killer7 Go To PostYep :(I get this feeling we are being left behind a bit in terms of tactics, I cannot forsee how we cope with Liverpool after the first half mauling v City.
I don't really understand intense pressing sometimes
Watching ourselves and Spurs, its obvious that it just doesn't happen for long stretches, stretches which last different amounts of time in each game. Like yesterday, we only pressed properly in the second half. Against us, Spurs only did it for the final 20 minutes. How do managers figure out in which phases of the game to do it?
For Spurs especially they probably have to micromanage it more since they have Europe, but I'm starting to think its based on momentum and adrenaline just as much, if not more than it is on instruction. We weren't just below top speed in the first half yesterday, we were positively slow in thought and action.

By Mr Cola Go To PostJesus id love to press like this :(see my last post, we have very few athletes.
By Hitch Go To PostI don't really understand intense pressing sometimesMaybe press certain areas of the pitch or target individual players. But like Froggie said. A team can't press the whole season.

Hell look how meh City is looking right now without KdB. They themselves still need time.
