Yeah he played it a lot before then, but I think it's fully fair to get a refund on that if it breaks so early. 50 hours if worth your money? Maybe, probably for me. But if it breaks and I can't continue to play it, I would want a refund.

It's nice to want things indeed. But what is even nicer, is that I am very happy that it's now possible to get some of those things as well. Lets not forget they actually gave him (and many others) the refunds they asked for. They could have not done that. But I guess they knew NMS was taking the piss.
I will go ahead and not give a fuck about the well being of the industry, and rather look at the cases like this and see if I think it's right to get a refund. If a fairly new game crashes every 10 to 20 min, then I do think it's reasonable. No matter the amount of time you spent in it.

Before the show, they were told they could chose to play for free or go home, as the owner didn't intend to pay them. As you can see, they decided to play and tear the place up in the process. Most of the people there were up for it as well.
