First he tries to convince us the key to offensive efficiency is shooting more mid-range jumpers. Then he tells me the key to getting a championship is having an ORTG over 110 for four consecutive series. Then he tells me Ainge had no influence on McDonough and Morey, and now he's telling me the trade to bring in Prigioni wasn't to help our playmaking. Dude needs to take an L.

I dont even like your fucking team LOL. I pretty much hope Howard cries his way to another early exit and Harden gets ejected in a critical game for flopping but this Vahagn guy is making me look your GM's biggest fanboy.

By JonmSo Masai is a good GM because he took a shitty situation and turned it into a team similar in strength to the Rockets but Morey is a bad GM because he took a team in a similar, if not worse situation and turned it into 2 superstars, good role players, flexibility and a good amount of assets.

As for the GW thing going over your head now for like the fourth post, no one is equating their opinions to climate change data. You are losing it son. Straight up fucking losing it. a) Masai has been with the Raptors how long now? He's a better GM because he hasn't made as many glaring mistakes. He's built up a similarly talented team in less time, and he didn't fucking hire and stick with Kevin McHale. Also, Toronto is a far more difficult city to get players to stay in than Houston. Getting NY to accept Bargnani for assets is a far harder trade to make than getting a desperate Thunder team to trade Harden to you when they've already determined to trade him. You can't even identify what these mistakes are. Let alone explain why they prove he is a bad GM when the result has been Harden, Howard, Good role payers on good contracts and a chest of assets to work with. This is just a series of excuses to build up Masai and a series of assertions to once again drag down Morey.

b) If you think you've accepted new arguments, you're kidding yourself. Equating me to a climate change denier means I deny something that's objectively true based on irrefutable evidence and data. The thing is that you think that your opinion of Morey is equivalent to climate change or hard data, but it's just an opinion based on arbitrarily weighted values that I don't share. Or that people "like me and Chuck" are not willing to accept data. You're a dimwit egomaniac. Did Morey not build a team from late lottery hell after losing 2 superstars for practically nothing and turn that franchise into the 3rd best team in the west with the best SG in the league and arguably the best Center. Simple yes or no.

C) No, you measured success by the only mathematical metric you provided in all this time. 5th best regular season record since his tenure. Everything else is opinion that essentially boils down to "I think he had it really bad and I think he's built a good team". Opinions. That's all. When I point to Toronto or Portland you ignore those because one piece of the equation isn't the same. That's absurd.

Do you really call losing two superstars for practically nothing and being stuck with a team with no assets to rebuild quickly, no high draft picks and being team in late lottery hell with ownership asking you to keep winning but give us a championship core sooner then later a good position to be in? I don't care how much money you have, or what market you are in, in the salary cap era that is an agreed upon hard thing to achieve in less then 4 years. Have other teams had it worse? Perhaps but there is no other way then to say that the situation Morey had was both tough and shitty.

D) I never said he's a horrible GM. I said he's not a good GM and he's either mediocre or bad. I'm not caught up in his methods and his full throated embrace of analytics like you are, and lets be honest, that's the only reason you think highly of him anyway.

I see a nice little projection going on here. I haven't said anything about the value of Morey ball so far. You seem to have an aversion to it, which is odd when a number of the guys you mention as great GM's embrace it as much as Morey does. Heck pretty much all of the guys you listed incorporate analytics heavily in their decision making.

But for whatever reason the absurdity of his arguments trying to paint a guy that took a team that looked to be walking into one of the worst franchise scenarios I have ever seen when McGrady and Yao couldn't stay healthy and where the franchise was when they were gone and then took that situation and turned it into Howard and Harden with good players around them in a little over 3 years as being a bad GM just couldn't get me to stop shaking my head. Now I have been dragged into defending Morey.

I now completely regret doing it because of how much of a waste of time its been.

Regarding Morey Ball though? If you think GM's are embracing it, you have no idea what Morey ball is. And you ignoring me pointing out that the Spurs shoot 3 times as many mid range shots as the Rockets, or that most of the other people build teams around multiple playmakers and Morey centralizes playmaking abilities in Harden's hand tell me you have no idea what the differences are. But that's par for the course for people who actually don't know the difference between D'Antoni's system, SVG's system, Morey's system, Pop's system.
