The shittiest TNF game in history. Rotoworld destroyed Bortles among other gems:
But wait! Later on:
Blake Bortles completed 33-of-54 passes for 337 yards and three touchdowns in Jacksonville's 36-22, Week 8 loss to the Titans.
Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Bortles was utterly horrendous, and frankly, lucky not to get benched. His stats do not tell the story of a quarterback who was tossing painful wobblers all evening. His motion has become a cross between side-armed Matthew Stafford and Tim Tebow. At times it looked like he was trying to toss a fully-baked turkey. All of Bortles' "production" came in garbage time. He was 8-of-16 for 64 yards as the Jags trailed 27-0 at halftime. Bortles was bad enough to get his coach fired, something that seems like a distinct Friday possibility.
Allen Robinson caught 6-of-15 targets for 70 yards in the Jaguars' Week 8 loss to the Titans.ARob reportedly blew up at Bortles shitacular QBing btw.
All of Robinson's production came in garbage time. Dealing with unacceptably-bad wobblers from Blake Bortles, Robinson's frustration boiled over. He was visibly upset multiple times on the field, and caught by the camera launching his helmet on the sideline. Robinson has had struggles of his own this season, dropping far too many passes and running some shaky routes, but Bortles has been his biggest issue. Robinson will remain a low-end WR2 against the Chiefs in Week 9.
Speaking after Thursday's loss to the Titans, Jaguars owner Shad Khan hinted he could be ready to fire coach Gus Bradley.
"Actions speak louder than words," Khan said. "Very little for me to say." You could say it sounds bad for Gus. Now 14-41 (.254) as an NFL head coach, Bradley's team has made zero improvement this season, and looked comprehensively lost on Thursday. Blake Bortles has gone off the rails, and Bradley's ballyhooed young defenders aren't making a positive impact. The Jags are overdue for a change. OL Doug Marrone will probably be promoted to interim head coach if/when Bradley is canned (on Friday).
But wait! Later on:
Jaguars owner Shad Khan said he's not prepared to make a coaching change.
We'll see. Khan was never going to announce his coach's firing in the locker room after the game. He'll undoubtedly huddle with his confidants on Friday to discuss the issue at greater length removed from the emotion of tonight's embarrassing loss. It's possible, if not probable, he decides 14-41 Gus Bradley finally has to go.
Ravens thankfully on a bye this week. So we've taken to defacing our Super Bowl winning QB on public transportation for entertainment.
These Lay's chip ads are all over town. This is one of the tamer ones. Joe's taking a beating in the streets.

Flacco's image has taken a beating since the Pats/Ravens AFC Championship game. I don't think he's healthy IMHO, something looks off with him.
I'll give him a break that the team was really depleted last year before he himself went down with the acl. The offensive line is again a mess, running game is again one dimensional and the WRs are still average, but he's been awful on a lot of plays.
Thankfully it's a down year for the AFC North so maybe we can still put something together once we're healthy. I really do wish we would think about making a move before the trade deadline though.

Tony Romo should be looking to get dealt before the deadline. He'll never take another snap in Dallas ever again.
Browns acquired LB Jamie Collins from the Patriots for a compensatory third-round pick. This is why people don't like playing in New England.
The Pats seemed to solve their contract logjam by sending Chandler Jones to the Cardinals over the offseason, but they have now offloaded perhaps their best defensive player for a late third-round pick, a compensatory pick they likely would have gotten anyway if they just let Collins leave via free agency in the spring. It is a stunning move which certainly carries much more backstory than we know about right now. Collins should play inside linebacker for the Browns and is a massive upgrade over Demario Davis and Chris Kirksey. As long as the Browns are able to get him under contract, this should end up being a great trade for Cleveland. At the very least, Cleveland should tag Collins to keep him around one more year. New England now has to lock up Dont'a Hightower to a long-term deal.
WTF Packers just cut Knile Davis... right now they have Don Jackson (practice squad RB), Aaron Ripowski (fullback), and Ty Montgomery (WR) as their RBs.

he wanted von miller money. he isn't getting that in new england.
By Trey Go To PostPats gonna lose in the playoffs because of their defense.
well that'd be true with or without jamie collins. from pats fans i know they say it sucks just cause he made big plays. but on a play to play basis he wasn't reliable as a consequence for going for the big play. given he wasn't going to resign they probably figure just move on and use the rest of the season to figure it out.

so he was a playmaker on a defense that sorely lacks playmakers. He will more likely than not be better than whoever the patriots replace him with. the pats were going to get a compensatory pick if he walked in FA anywhere, so they don't get much value there.
Seems to me the Pats just didn't like him, or he didn't jive well with the team/management culture.
Well they've definitely fucked his life/career for the foreseeable future by shipping his ass off to Cleveland.
I hope he takes them to the cleaners next year if they tag him in the spring.
The NFLPA has really no power when it comes to these types of deals and that's a shame.

By The Frankman Go To PostThis is why people don't like playing in New England.Does anyone like playing anywhere? Contract situation is so garbage in the NFL you can't afford to have a place where you like to play.

Brows? 49ers? Dolphins? Jaguars? Broncos?
So many options
it's really weird how they're doing that. I don't know what games are on twitter and which are. There's been 6 on and 2 off so far, right?
NFL absolutely jobbed the Bills. How does Richard Sherman not get penalized for what he did, then they botch the playclock?
Not only didn't they flag Sherman for the hit, they delayed the shit out of the initial whistle for the offside. So I don't really blame him for jumping in on the ball like that.
Trey you're killing me. I sent you a fantasy football trade 3 days ago, respond! I PMed you on slaent and emailed you on Yahoo!

i dont get yahoo notifications so only way i see it is if I noticed the "pending transaction" when fucking around with my roster.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Posti cant get hype for nfl anymoreTotally dying for me and has been for a few years now.
idk , sport is dying for me
Saints got fucked because the league didn't have a camera angle to determine if a runner was out. Can't tell with white cleats on a white line. Fuck it, play stands. Lol the league and sport are a joke.
AFC North is a dumpster fire. If Cincy lose tomorrow to NYG, Ravens are somehow in incredible position in the division.
And I actually like our chances against Dallas. They're due for an L. Why not us on the road?

Mariota and Don Demarco cooking this season. Guess the Exotic Smashmouth is here to stay.
Now lets just figure out the defensive side of the ball and win this sorry ass division

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Jared Goff will start Sunday's Week 11 game against the Dolphins.
It's finally happening. The Rams waited an embarrassingly long time to pull the plug on overmatched Case Keenum, who has run L.A.'s offense into the ground in recent weeks. Goff was a legitimate train wreck during the preseason and seems to have made only minimal progress since then, but the Rams simply couldn't wait any longer for Keenum to turn his season around.
Can't be having Kuechly crying on the field cause of a concussion. Scariest part is that he seemed to be crying out of nowhere, like a huge mood swing, like with CTE, like with Seau and all those others that had severe mood swings....
I suppose its better than his last one where he's wandering around the sidelines looking completely lost. Neither is a good look.

His brain was definitely scrambled. Doesn't seem like there's definitive word in the extent of the concussion either which is probably bad. He'll go through the league protocol and probably miss a week or two but that looked awful last night.
