I never knew this until I joined the Army. I thought sharpening a knife was something kids learned growing up. My dad taught me and all my friends how to do it

I learned how to do a ton of shit from my dad like this. How to shoot. How to tie knots. How to clean a fish. I learned all my construction stuff from my dad for my remodel etc etc. Sharpening a knife with a whetstone isn't a skill he knew though. Wish he did. I remember when we were kids he bought a kit that holds the blade at a certain angle. It wasn't a whetstone and used oil. It worked well enough but not like that shit in the above hahah.
ALSO ... that knife was only $1, but that series of stones sure as fuck wasn't lol
