It's a real shame because it's one of those games that you think would transition well and hold up to today's standards if given the proper chance. But they didn't even add to the last gen achievements and trophies list from the previous release. No Move support either, which I probably would have gone for regardless of the half-assed port job.

Try playing it today. The tank controls are horrid. As much as I personally love MGS3, I wouldn't dare playing that again because those controls were just as terrible. Resident Evil 4 is great in terms of content and atmosphere, but I hate the shoot bang gameplay and the controls. Fucking unbearable.
I probably have RE4 just outside my top ten. RE2 is in my 6-10 though.

The way you can customize everything, expandable memory, the camera and being able to make gifs are the main things.
The tank controls are what makes it so great. Slow, impactful and intimate. Gives shooting a gun much more oomph to it.
Though perhaps I guess the gameplay has aged a bit after all these years.

I'm looking forward to Don't Breathe, think it's out next week in the uk. I really enjoyed the recent Evil Dead, and I think most modern horror films are shite - jump scares, found footage etc - so I think Fede Alvarez is a good enough director to avoid shitty tropes.

They refused to pay and credit a lot of the animators that worked in that movie. That's why they managed to keep the budget low.
