By n8 dogg Go To PostBye Guidolin.Welcome to Swansea, Giggs.

That is an absolute sitter, much worse than I thought from first viewing
Thank fuck, would have launched the remote through the TV

They play 20 year Wenger at the Emirates next match week. Definitely not the most welcoming fixture for a new manager.

Nearly was that fuck up I mentioned before the game.
Think we needed a win like this. We aren't going to play well every game, but when we do falter we need to dig deep and get something.

I'm struggling to recall a game where Sturridge was pressing and playing cohesively with the team. He's brilliant at what he does, but always sticks out when I watch him play.
By Hitch Go To PostHonestly have so many issues with that performancewe're gonna have the occasional shit game but we rode our luckand got the pts so whatever. reminded me a lot of fullham in 13/14. I wouldn't look into it personally, unless obviously the deficiences remain. this was our first shit win which tbh tastes just as sweet at the stompings in a way
Set pieces, game management at the end, Karius on crosses, Sturridge being on a different wavelength to everyone else, our energy levels starting low, spiking and then dipping
Very, very fortunate to win that I think. Play like that away to a team who are having a good time of things, and we undoubtedly lose. Even against Swansea in the doldrums, they could have easily been out of sight at half time.
Hopefully one we can put down to being an early away trip and move onwards and upwards with 3 points in tow.
karius is seriously concerning though. I thought he was meant to be the good kind of arrogant that commits to decisions. but hes looks like an overpromoted kid atm
By Perfect Blue Go To PostSo should I make the thread again or…?
I just realised its October lol
Maybe make it after the games today so people arent migrating mid match

By subtles Go To PostI'm struggling to recall a game where Sturridge was pressing and playing cohesively with the team. He's brilliant at what he does, but always sticks out when I watch him play.Hoped the Leicester match was what we'd see from him in the future and he'd force himself into the first 11, but I'm not sure he even knows how to press sufficiently tbh
Even when he tries, he often presses the wrong player, or from the wrong angle, or gets there too late, or gets too close. Just have to watch Suarez play for 5 minutes and you can see how much more effective he is at it before even considering how much they apply themselves to it. Its not about trying to tackle whoever is on the ball, 90% of it for the stiker is limiting the opposite number's options to pass, and shaping yourself to spring on any misjudged pass they are forced to attempt. Sturridge tends to get too close too late to a player who has a a multitude of easy options as he's not in synch with the team press, so he's easy to play around. Think he'll be gone in the summer if we can find a buyer, unfortunately.
You'd think pressing avenues and signals would be easy to learn, but seems not. Similar situation to Coutinho working decently hard when we're not in possession, but still leaving Milner up shit creek a lot of the time, defending on his own in acres of space.
Fatha reckons lowest league crowd he's seen at SoL since we were in Championship. Woof.
Don't blame anyone like. Gave my ticket away and I mean, we're gonna lose to Tony Pulis ball.

By subtles Go To PostHazard is alive?
He does well in very short periods of time, then goes back to being absolutely missing in action, and slowing down every attack. Will happen here as well.
By Laboured Go To PostWest Ham fans getting a great view of the action here.lol
What's funny about that West Ham image is that's very clearly not even remotely close to the highest seat from that angle.
By Laboured Go To PostWest Ham fans getting a great view of the action here.No wonder they got given West Ham branded binoculars with every ST purchase.

I legit got a very mild case of vertigo sat on the highest row at the Emirates

Moses is doing well.
Not so surprisingly so is Kante again.
Team still have all the same problems however.
