By Zabojnik Go To PostI don't particularly like complaining about refs, because Juve are historically hardly a side that's suffered great injustices. Just like I find it silly when the other big clubs and their fans complain about it. Especially when it comes to league games, of which there are 35+ in a season. You get some shitty calls in your favour and some against. It doesn't always level up at the end of the season, but that's simply the nature of the sport.
I do however love it when a Juve player gets (or doesn't) sanctioned when playing international matches for Juve or Italy, and you suddenly have all these anti-Juve worms come out of the woodwork with their just-pulled-it-out-of-my-ass stats, raiding that ever popular anti-Juve sentiment.
Chiellini gets a red playing for Italy and suddenly … ehehehehe, you see, as soon as you step outside of Italy, Chiellini gets what he deserves!
Giorgio Chiellini. 214 international matches. 49 CL games, 4 EL games, 90 with Italy's NT, 71 with Italy's U21 and below selections.
This was his second red card.
Has has five reds in 401 matches with Juve.
Statistics, how do they work.
Best red was the one he got after Berardi merked him last year.
People will always hate on any Juve player, it comes with the territory of being successful.
By rossonero Go To PostSeriously. There is a 34" 21:9 Samsung that's calling my name. It's only 60hz, but I've never experienced a higher hz monitor and it's easier on the GPU so why not, right? Right? Right?!I've considered buying a 'good enough' monitor more times than I can remember over the past year or so, but I've held out this long and I'm not gonna fuck it up now, when we're on the verge of the 34" 21:9 VA 144hz 1440p gsync / freesync dream becoming a reality, my dear rossonero.
Give me said monitor or give me morte.
People will hate on any league or club that they don't watch. Bundesliga is shit except Bayern and Dortmund, Liga BBVA is shit except for Barca, Atletico and RM etc etc.
The only right one is EPL is shit atm, with no exceptions for any club.

By Laboured Go To PostMourinho has been voted manager of the month.lol
Phelan>>>Guardiola=Mourinho=Conte
And that's a fact
By Laboured Go To PostMourinho has been voted manager of the month.Tony Whelan should have won it, and if it wasn't him it should have been City with the walloping they gave against their opponents.
By Laboured Go To PostMourinho has been voted manager of the month. That shift in power. You can feel it. United are back.
5 highest paid managers in the world: 1. Pep Guardiola, 2. Carlo Ancelotti, 3. Jose Mourinho, 4. Arsene Wenger, 5. Luis Enrique
Even on salary he's fourth.
I've been getting barraged by spam emails since making an account with trainline.com :(
Even ticked the boxes to tell them I didn't want any of that shite, and I doubt its a coincidence.

Bit surprised at Mou winning, maybe they gave him major props for changing the game at Hull with the subs, would have given it Phelan tbh.
By Laboured Go To PostIt is very ridiculous how it is now down to a Twitter vote.kind of how we elect our political authorities
By Hitch Go To PostOh, its a public vote
Whatever relevance it still had is firmly buried, then.
It's ok Coutinho will still somehow win POTM in January after scoring from two out of many long range efforts.

Probably got something to do with the player of the month being sponsored by EA.
Fuck EA
Pep took a battering. Nearly got beat by Mike Phelan and its likely that a good 60-70% of people who voted don't even know who Mike Phelan is.
By Laboured Go To PostNot sure City fans are affluent enough to operate a Twitter account tbh. dc pls confirm
I dunno. Sterling got more votes and he is supposed to be universally hated by everyone. Maybe City fans are upset about the treatment of club legends Hart and Yaya Toure.

M8 he lost to fucking Antonio Valencia.
Verratti's slowness of mind is exasperating. Always with two or three touches too many.
Don't rate him nearly as highly as some of the others here.

Wait, the Player/Manager of the Month is based on online votes? Really?
Did England actually learnt anything after Brexit?

Apparently the actual award winner will be determined using these votes now as well as those of club captains and a panel of former players and managers. So these results might not be final.

That's not quite so bad.
By Zabojnik Go To PostVerratti's slowness of mind is exasperating. Always with two or three touches too many.Really? He has far too many intangibles that make up for any mistakes he may make. Still young and learning how to make the most of his energy as well. Only player that comes close to his engine is Kanté. That alone makes me an admirer.

By noal Go To PostI watched The Fountain again last night. I wish Hollywood would make more of these types of films.
Although not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, and I don't suppose many here liked it, it just gives you food for thought and sticks in your mind and the visuals are wonderful.
I need to become a director. No word of a lie, I have had this thought in my head for years that I would make a film that spanned the whole history of the solar system and then concentrate on earth. No music until near the end and minimal vocals. Mostly just sound effects.
Has Malick nicked my idea?
If you are referring to Aronofsky film. It is a fantastic film, Aronofsky gets an incredible performance out of Jackman and co, also Clint Mansel's score is great. "Death is the Road to Awe" finish is amazing.
FWIW, Malick always nicks my ideas too

That alone makes me an admirer.I don't know, I'm not a Verratti expert by any means, but from what I've seen of him, his specific weight at PSG and his influence on matches is way, way less remarkable than people are making it out to be. Like that side pass he made for Italy's first goal vs. Israel. A pass even Gattuso would've made, yet after the match that's all the pundits and ITKs were talking about when mentioning his performance. He's very flashy to look at, but the substance isn't up to par. I'll make an effort to watch more PSG matches this season and hopefully realize I'm wrong.
I really do just absolutely fucking hate the international break and international football in general. Not sure whether I've mentioned this.

By Laboured Go To PostThat's not quite so bad. They might as well just give a free vote to any Arsenal/Liverpool/Utd/Chelsea players and managers, since they have the most voting fans (and Arsenal and Liverpool fans have a weird obsession with dominating online polls)
Arsenal and Liverpool fans thinking Phelan should have won. Wonder why they didn't vote for him if they think so highly of him.

He does how onto the ball a bit too long as times. BTF, he looks up and he sees Eder and Pelle. I wouldn't ever let them touch the ball

I really do hope the u21s win tonight, then there is absolutely no need for him to play for them again for a while as they have qualified, which was one of the main reasons he was gonna play for them this break.
Will watch the England U21s for the Boy Rashford tho. The U21s are usually way more exciting to watch.
I have Costochondritis which in worst cases is chronic but most fixes itself in a few weeks to a few months, so no Football, which sucks ass, majorly.
