Palermo are expected to appoint Roberto De Zerbi after Davide Ballardini resigned just two games into the season.
It’s widely reported that De Zerbi has been picked for the position, which would be his first in Serie A.
He is likely to be handed a two-year contract worth just €500,000 per season.
The 37-year-old tactician only had one genuine coaching job, at Foggia from July 2014 to August 14 of this year, when he parted company with the club over a difference of strategy.
De Zerbi won the Coppa Italia Lega Pro in April and lost the promotion play-off Final to Pisa.
The Sicilians had a chaotic campaign in 2015-16 with eight changes of management, including Ballardini’s dismissal and return a few weeks later.
There was tension around the lack of transfer activity this summer, prompting President Maurizio Zamparini to publicly urge the Coach to “shut up and stop asking for players.”
The situation deteriorated after the club failed to sign a much-needed striker on transfer deadline day and Zamparini confirmed Ballardini had resigned yesterday.
Wooh

“I liked Carra the most,” he continues. “He is the biggest Scouser in the world. We got on well from day one.
I think he realised that I loved football and he loves football too. We would watch games together and talk about it every day. I think he respected that I would enter arguments with him.
He was always very loud; you could hear his voice above everyone else’s. I would say, ‘Carra, shut the fuck up, you have no idea!’ He liked all of that: the confrontation.”

What are you building FF, a rocket?Hahah I am building it myself for the first time, I was ready to buy a Pre-built gaming one but Zabo convinced me to give building one a go, he said even a 14 year old ginger kid can do it. So I've been watching videos on how to build them, comparing parts etc. Im in no rush to get one, just getting comfortable with it first. atm i almost know as much as Zabo about pc's

Where ronaldo is finally the best
He was already better in the parts before because you can't really replicate what Messi does dribbling wise.
By Woodenpapangus Go To PostI'm starting to think, that Bendtner might just retire.
Would that be your recommendation ?

Gotta respect that.
Alonso is the only player in football history to have experienced the management of those considered as the great four modern European coaches: Benítez, José Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola.
SAF: great
SAF: modern
SAF: coach - I guess this is substantially questionable
SAF: No European cos Brexit ?
Honestly don't think you get Benitez as an answer if this is a pub quiz

I dreamt last night that someone on slaent had compelling evidence that Wilshire was a coke addict. Why I'm dreaming about message boards I don't know.

The Wooden Fellaini was scary.
Benfica could only register 24 players in the Champions League instead of the usual 25 because they don't have enough club trained players.
Makes me laugh when Benfica fans still think that Jesus was the reason there weren't more club trained players in the squad.

By LFMartins86 Go To PostIt's a ridiculous situation and I am pretty sure you would never mentioned it.Well, I mean.
Is it as ridiculous as a club pretending that they have won more league titles than they actually did?
Now, posting about the shady deal for the lad that retired after one season on our B Team, that would have been something. Because someone needs to go to jail for that one. But I guess Porto also bought them some actually major players a few years back, like Jackson, so it kinda negated itself as an issue in the eyes of Sporting fans. Maybe.

I'm worried how many times this year I'll have to have the unfortunate revelation on Saturday that there are no games because of the international break.

That is not very unusual. Chelsea last year sure didn't register 25 players last year either and there will be lots of clubs that won't this year as well. Juve only registered 22 for this years CL, which meant them excluding Lichtsteiner.
