Really, is there no procedure in place to boot a school from the conference?
Baylor is truly deplorable.

By KingGondo Go To PostWho would have been your preferred hire?
It was Kirby honestly, but it's pretty plain to see that it was the wrong choice. Dude is lost, has no control over his assistants, and doesn't even seem to be aware what is going on on the field half the time.
We chose the wrong guy.
I shudder to think of replacing Gundy, who has had a similar record to Mark Richt. Difference being that we have far lower expectations.
Well that was a hell of a game.

UGA actually won! but they didn't look very good in doing so. Sloppy, stupid pentalties and turnovers still. Chubb fumbled twice. Recievers dropped passes. Our dumbass kick returner fumbled a punt (yet again) and gave KY the ball deep which resulted in a TD. The only difference is that this time we found two recievers who havent been used as much who do NOT drop passes and we were able to sustain a couple of drives.
Chigbu and McKenzie couldn't catch a cold. Wims and Godwin were much better and should recieve most of the playing time going forward.
I am so sick of isaiah mckenzie. I hate him so much. Sure, he'll catch and run a td every now and again but between his drive-killing drops and his muffed punts, he hurts way more than anything else. I hope he never sees the field again.

You'd be our longest losing streak since we managed to beat Texas last season, as before that we hadn't beaten you or them since 2008. Had a pretty long streak against KSU until last season as well, as we hadn't beaten them since 2009, but that was only actually 4 games.
By KingGondo Go To PostThoughts on the game? Feel like we should roll but I don't want to get cocky.Similar to what I think I posted in here a few weeks ago, that almost no outcome will really surprise me anymore. Our offense is good enough to beat anyone and our defense is bad enough to beat anyone. Getting rolled won't surprise me, rolling won't surprise me. Getting rolled would obviously be more likely.
As the weeks have gone on we've even gotten a bit more streaky - the offense stalls out a fair bit because we have no run game and Mahomes has joined the Fuck It I'm Going Deep Fan Club *. The defense, meanwhile, has started to show some decent signs of resistance, as our interior DL play has actually been pretty good; we hold up against runs up the middle fairly well, for example, you just can't tell so much because we may be the worst in the country against runs off tackle.
*Here's the pick that sealed the game against Texas. Mahomes throws the ball with over 10 seconds on the clock. Look at how wide open our WR is at the 15 yard line when he throws the ball.

I feel sorry for him because he went undefeated at Auburn one year and was snubbed a shot at the championship, and then Bana hired Saban and AU immediately fired him even after beating Bama for consecutive years. I'm talking like 5 or six.
Why isn't a bigger deal being made of this?

Guy was projected this year(his senior year) as a late round pick for the NFL.
Is it beacuse its FIU a small school and player no one has heard of? What if it were reversed? Would the coverage still be as small?
EDIT: Maybe its the election.

When talking about the recent ESPN article on Baylor's recruiting troubles I said they may have an even worse top to bottom roster than Kansas here in a year or two.
Just heard the commentator in their game say they were told Baylor is down to 63 scholarship players. That's one fewer than Kansas had last year. For Kansas, that was a new coach's first season; for Baylor, they have two commitments right now and no idea who will even be around to coach them after December.

By KingGondo Go To PostBaylor imploding harder than I thought.Before the season I was thinking that I was glad we get them at the end. They have the starting talent to put up a good record but bad depth, and I was assuming between normal attrition (injuries, etc.) and the truckload of off-the-field issues that they would have been worn down pretty hard by the time they get to us.
What I wouldn't give to be able to play them again.
Season is basically playing out just as I hoped so far. Started off looking pretty good but unmotivated. Got that first loss to Texas and they clearly dipped a bit emotionally, then they followed that up with getting their doors blown off due to letting the protest stuff get the better of them.
I told an Oklahoma fan I know that they have the chance to finish Baylor's season today. Baylor has circled the wagons a bit after the TCU embarrassment, but losing handily to the Sooners just a week later could be the breaking point.
Our starting RT and a starting LB didn't make the trip to Stillwater, and our newly starting RB may not play due to some undisclosed injury.
Baylor just lost Seth Russell for the rest of the season. Pretty ugly injury. Broken ankle or fibula or something as his foot was pointing the wrong way after that tackle.
Didn't even really look in any pain, pretty calm as he just laid there and pointed to his ankle. Coming off that neck injury from last year as well, seems like a pretty tough guy.

With Hinton not making the trip and Brooks just getting hurt, I literally don't know who is next on the LB depth chart. I know the group of 3 that they will pull from to start, but the new backups may be DBs.
Two things we're inexplicably bad at on offense this season - ineligible man downfield and botched read option handoffs/fake handoffs.
This is agonizing to watch, even if it's probably the right strategy. Really making Tech work for points.
Things obviously ended better than they started for us but the eye test still seems that we're the worse team on the field despite being tied.
Glad we're sticking with the run on offense even when behind a few scores. OL isn't blocking run or pass all that well but in the past we've gone away from the run completely and that's when the full on stalls start happening. When you can barely stop a 3-man rush AND there's no threat of even trying to hand off there is a LOT that can go wrong.
Good to see Willies finally healthy and showing some flashes of being the guy we thought he could be at WR. Superfreak JUCO athlete that we won a tough recruiting battle for but he's been constantly injured since enrolling in January.

I have been informed that Kingsbury is 4-0 when tied at the half.
Ready yourself for THE PAIN, Gondo.
He's 1-21 when trailing at the half.
::edit::
We now have a TD completion to an OL and a fake punt completion to a walk-on DE in this game.
::edit2::
Felton being down is REALLY bad news. Stockton doesn't hit holes hard enough to break tissue paper and White is a senior that hasn't broken the 2-deep in his whole career.
::edit3::
...And there's the illegal man downfield thing I was talking about. Gave away a first down.

Stice, the guy that just got that sack, is a 5th year senior transfer from Houston. He was not even in the 2-deep for Houston.
That tells you what you need to know about our LB corps.

I'd almost rather have Tech score right away so we have time to drive for a winning score.
Worst-case is a TD with not much time left and a 2-point conversion. They'll probably go for it too.
